Cooled seats have never been an option on the AT package from 2010 to the current models.

Here's the evidence. First time I've had a chance to shoot a pic. Next thing will be to de-chrome it like I did the 2014.

This is such a sexy machine! For 2016 the Sierra takes the cake vs the Silverado. And for me the the slight amount of chrome is a good contrast in a sea of black.

Enjoy in good health!

Maybe I'm reading this incorrectly (haven't seen an RPO guide before) but it states Vented perforated seats are "not available with (GAT) All Terrain Package" but it doesn't say "Not available with (PDG) All Terrain SLT Premium Package".
I recall trying to option in on 2015 All terrain but couldn't. However on the 2016 Canadian build and price page, it is possible to check it off. There are differences between USA and Canada RPO guides i assume. And i also went on the US Build and Price and i couldn't add those seats to an All Terrain package. As always, i stand by to be corrected.

Took some pretty arcane box checking but I was able to get the AT, 6.2 engine and those seats

I think it's possible too. As for Lane departure - I do agree, this has never been on the AT. Thankfully it's the one option I don't want.

Cooled seats are not an option for the AT. Just that simple. You might be able to manipulate the build your own website but its not possible in real life. The AT seats are a solid surface, ventilation not possible.

You are 100% correct

I had them in my Lexus GS & liked them alot but even though my interior is black leather with the window tint i dont get hot enough to bother me

From what I have read the cooled seats are not that great.

Sent from my HTC M9

I do not think they are anything to write home about. I used them a few times this summer but could easily live without them.

Sweet truck BTW.....

Interesting input on the 2016 AT. I have a 2014 AT and overall I really like it. At one point I considered upgrading to the '16 simply because mine is still low mileage and would get a good trade-in, but I'm not seeing enough differences to warrant it. Especially after all the upgrades I've installed on mine. I agree however the '16 is very nice looking. I've wondered for years why no-one had an automatic/remote locking tailgate feature. It's sad it took Ford to come out with it on their 2015 models. This is something that should've been done 10+ years ago. Such a simple upgrade I can't fathom why designers never incorporated it before. I'd love for there to be a way to retrofit it into mine, but not likely going to happen.

I would definitely miss the cup holder removal option as it is a perfect hiding place for a pistol to be stored out of sight when parked in public. I'm really curious why that was changed.
I never noticed when I bought my '14 that it had no vents going into the back seats. Seems like a ridiculous design flaw. I'm curious if the '16's have ventilation in the rear (not seats, but actual air vents from the back of the mid console). It's not ideal having to blow the front vents hard enough to flow all the way to the rear, so I'm not sure what GM was thinking when they removed that option. I also don't get why the rear seats can't have a heat option. I guess GM thinks the rear passengers are less worthy and don't get the option. Sadly Dodge and Ford offer it, so I'd say GM missed the boat on that one.
I also don't understand why the AT can't be bought with ventilated seats. Texas summers certainly would benefit from that option. It wasn't a deal breaker for me but would've been nice to have.
When I bought my '14 in November of '13, the 6.2L wasn't available. I regret to this day having not waited for that. I'm assuming the 6.2 is available in the AT for '16? If so, it's worth every penny. I don't get why the E85 option is not available either on the '16. Surely the tranny can hold up to it, so what's the logic behind removing that option?

Regarding the headlights, I've read lots of gripes about the '14 & '15 not having bright enough lights. Granted they're not HID or LED, but they've been amply sufficient to me, and I came from having an AMG Mercedes with bi-xenon lights that could be seen from outer space. Yes, I'd like a little brighter output (without putting a problem prone aftermarket kit on it), but my plan is to try a standard bulb upgrade like a Sylvania Silver Star, or similar. Best as I can determine we used the #9012 bulb, which is now available in the aftermarket. About $43 per bulb so it's not a cheap replacement, but something I'm going to take a chance and try unless I hear other's who have tried and not been happy with the results.
I'm curious about the 8 speed too. I can't see much gain in it as a whole but I'd be curious to hear some real world input about it.

Congrats to all you new '16 AT owners. You should be very happy with your choice.

There is an aftermarket kit to get remote tailgate lock. There is a video posted recently.

E85 option is not available on the 5.3 with the 8 speed.

It is available on the 5.3 with the 6 speed.

(which should mean it is available on an sle, but not an slt)

No rear vents of any kind.

The new SLT LED's are way brighter than an upgraded 2015 SLT. (haven't heard about the 2016 HID versions)

I wonder what they put under the cupholder?

I'm confused about the headlights on the new 2016. There are HID or LED? is this correct? I'm getting a new 2016 AT built - on my build sheet it says for the lights......

high-performance LED headlamps with GMC signature lighting.

Is this the best headlights available ... that's all I want to know..
