Good to know! Let me know how it works out.

Probably not, I'm not exactly sure what you mean by full scan of PID's.

Let us know how your set up goes today.

Well, it went ok. I wasn't able to get the Oil PSI to read either. I tried doing a short scan for PIDs but that didn't help. I am second guessing myself if scanning for PIDs gets you more things to read from or not. I thought it gave me more options on my Avalanche but that doesn't seem to be happening on this truck.

This one sure has a lot more features though, I like your setup screen.

I did figure out what you meant by the full scan thing but from what I read it is very time consuming for it to complete the scan.

I did get a random reading on the current gear sensor. I apparently was in gear 71! Lol

I've tweaked my layout some more too. I think I like the icons that give you the high and low values also.

WOW that is a LOT of information lol I like it!!

I assume you have a 5.3L Flex Fuel to see the Ethanol Content? Pretty interesting its right on 60%, just what we should expect in winter (per what I've read online).

I always liked watching the Air Intake Temp, so interesting to watch it go up and down, especially in the summer. It's amazing how hot it can get under there when idling in traffic.

Haha, yes is it. Nice to have it all on one screen though.

Yep, 2014 5.3L with flex. It actually has been reading right on 70% all winter. Two fill ups ago I used 87 so it's still a little diluted.

Curious to see how the various temperature one read this summer when towing the boat.

I just added the timing sensor this week. I was surprised at how wildly that fluctuates as you drive.

If anything it's a fun app to play around with and just view the different readings.

I still wish the oil pressure and current gear ones would work.

Which version of Torque are you guys using?

My screen doesn't look anything like any of the above

Just the latest version from the android play store. In the settings you can change the theme giving the it a different look and color. I don't think I'm using the stock theme.

Yea it's the free one. He just added a ton of dials/gauges to his display. You can do the same by long pressing in the realtime info screen.

Edit: im sure the free version allows you to do some editing. I opted for the full version, i forget what the differences are.

If you had andriod auto could you display this on the main touch screen or not?

Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk

That would be awesome but unfortunately I don't think you can. A friend of mine just had his Canyon updated to have android auto today and he said you can only display certain certified apps or something like that.

Man, you fit a lot on that screen! I like the gauges that give high and low values as well. You can tow something up a hill and not worry about staring at the phone but look to see what the peak temps were afterward. Here's the screen I currently use:

If anybody figures out how to read Fan% please post up! That's the biggest piece of data I think I'm missing with it.

Apple does have their own vesion... for a fee... but you can't use the same elm 327 bluetooth adapter either... need a wi-fi version that's roughly $6-$7 more than the bluetooth version. Find them on amazon or ebay

Wow man, your blood pressure is way too high!

What's the ACHSPres stand for? I did a web search and it came back with aches or pains, fatigue, high blood pressure. Haha

    • It wouldn’t have happened if the government hadn’t mandated outrageous fuel mileage standards. It does very little for the consumer. It adds cost. Back during Covid there was a chip shortage. They gave a rebate for your truck if it didn’t have the chip to turn on cylinder deactivation. It was 50$ because at best you may see 1/2 a mile increase per gallon. Splitting hairs each fuel mileage trick wasn’t mandated. The government doesn’t do the engineering work and say use this until it’s already in use and they like it. The fuel mileage was mandated. And those add ons the results. There’s a mandate and they are the results.
    • It was never mandated.  Ever.    Automakers were incentivized to install it by getting CAFE credits to help with their vehicle fleet fuel economy scores.  They were being handed money/CAFE credits to install it.  Which is NOT a mandate.       The current admin removed the incentives that were behind them installing it.
    • Are you playing Slide Down endlessly but your score is still low? Are you constantly crashing into obstacles as the game speed increases? Don't worry, this article will share 5 invaluable tips to help you master the race and impress your friends. Golden Rules 1. Look one step further. The mistake of 90% of new players is only staring at their character. The secret of experts is to look towards the top of the screen (where the slide is about to appear). This gives your brain an extra 0.5 - 1 second to process the situation and determine the direction of movement before the obstacle approaches. 2. Use gentle movements; don't swipe too hard. Slide Down is very sensitive. Moving your finger too forcefully or with excessive amplitude will cause your character to be thrown off course or crash into a wall. Practise moving your finger with small, decisive, and precise movements. 3. Don't be greedy for gold in dangerous locations. Gold coins are tempting for buying skins, but life is more important. If you see a gold coin right on the edge of a cliff or next to a spike trap, ignore it. Our goal is a High Score, and your score only increases if you survive. 4. Make the most of Power-ups. During the slide, you'll encounter items like Magnets (attract gold) or Shields (temporary invincibility). Never miss them! Especially the Shield, it's your "get out of jail free card" to help you get through those deadly fast sections. 5. Stay calm when speed peaks. When your score exceeds 500 or 1000, the game speed will be very fast. At this point, don't try to think logically; let your natural reflexes work. Take deep breaths and don't panic. Apply these 5 tips to your next game, and your leaderboard will surely improve dramatically. Good luck climbing the Slide Down leaderboard!
