Continues To Impress!

Today I attended an American Chestnut meeting near Harrisburg Pa., I was coming from central NJ so it was a 2 1/2 hour ride. I drove the truck normal not worrying about gas mileage. I just got home and checked my last 400 mile average...it was 23.4!!! I know some of you guys have done better, but I was really happy. My lifetime average is 19.6, the truck has 4926 miles on it now.

This is the best truck I have ever owned. It has plenty of power, super quite, and the ride is as smooth as butter!

It's always great hearing things like this.. I'm tired of the people complaining honestly... I'm glad your happy. I'm also happy with my truck... yeah I had a radiator issue. But damn I didn't start a thread and complain and seek out a Ford or dodge... etc... nothing is perfect. I hope more members come in here and respond also how they love there truck.

I have a 2014 GMC SLE CC AT I bought a month ago with 24k miles. It is stock and I love it. Took a week or so to get used to throttle tip in but now that I am used to it, man it's got power. For all those starting to worry about their purchase, hop in your truck solo, crank a favorite tune and go for a nice cruise on a back road. Coming from a 2006 4Runner this thing is light years ahead with technology and gets far better mpg with almost 100 more hp. Very impressed and love to drive it!

I love my truck period. Those complaining would be doing the same no matter what vehicle they bought. It is almost like many of them have never owned a mechanical device before.

Anyway nice to see a positive thread I couldn't agree more the truck is quiet, smooth and as you say once you get used to the throttle and transmission it is an absolute joy to drive.

I have to chime in here as well. Aside from a few recalls and issues, my 2014 CC is the nicest vehicle I have ever owned!! Quiet, smooth, tons of power, good on gas for its size and weight. What else could anyone want!!

I love my truck as well. I stopped caring about gas mileage awhile ago. No complaints overall about the truck.

I teally love my truck. I does some weird transmission shifting sometimes, some vibratioms sometimes, there is a recall for the power steering motor and trailer hitch. I like the mileage, how quiet the interior is, the nice upgrade in power versus the older trucks and the wifi works great. I still wouldn't buy a foreign truck and be really hard pressed to buy a Ford or Dodge. The other trucks just don't do anything for me. They all might have problems but in my experience it seems that GM trucks have the least. When you look at how things are designed and engineered mechanically GM os by far the best.

I like this thread. I have a 2015 5.3 3.42 Silverado CC 2WD. I LOVE this truck! I was driving it last night and was just thinking how much I enjoy driving it! Sure it has some funny shifts sometimes but so did my last car, and my truck before that! The only thing I don't like about it...2WD. And that was my own fault. so bottom line GM did an AWESOME job with these trucks. Put some bilsteins on, top setting. Truck looks and feels that much better.

Cheers!

When the wind isn't blowing this truck rocks on mpg's. Like this morning, granted I set the cruise control at 60, but I got a best 25 mile average of 31mpg. Wind has been crazy here lately, 25-35 with 45 gusts. Truck is a brick during those conditions.

Once drove about 150 miles interstate against some heavy winds and mpg took a big hit. Still loved the drive though :-)

My office is on the 3rd floor and faces the parking lot. I always make sure I park my big guy where I can see him. Of course I back into the parking spot so I have a good view of my front end. I don't know how many times a day I look out the window and say "damn that's a nice looking truck". Ya I love my truck!

I had one little hiccup with the throttle position sensor going bad on my 14. Other than a couple of fun limp mode episodes and thesubsequent replacement of the TPS it has had no issues. Gas mileage is outstanding. Power is good, ride is outstanding and it is the quietest vehicle anyone in my family has ever owned. I know if someone is having a problem with their truck telling them how great yours is doesn't help, but i'm very thankful that I don't seem to have (so far-knock on wood) any of the issues mentioned so often in the forum. At the risk of jinxing myself, I seemingly got one of the good ones!

Count me in with those who love their truck! Everyone I've taken for a ride in it raves about how smooth and quiet it is and it's power - and everyone oooh and aaah's the interior. The truck is great!

I love my truck so far too! Got all the bells and whistles that I need, nothing more, nothing less. It's averaging about 19-20 mpg mixed driving (lifetime so far). I did some 100 mile drives but that's about the longest distance I've driven and we live in a mountainous state, so it's not just flat roads but with hills and valleys. Heck my 08 Subaru Forester got only 22 mpg last fill up a few days ago and that's a 4 cyc AWD.

I like mine enough that when the bug bites to buy something new (happens about once a year...) I keep thinking I want a new one. Not that there's anything wrong with my 15... just that, well, I want that "new" feeling all over again.

Doubly cool is when I take it in for service (oil change or whatever) and go wander around on the dealer floor. Usually there's a nice Sierra on the floor, which I'll climb around, start thinking "Hmmmm...." then when my truck is done, hop in it and realize, "Hey cool I already have one!"
