The extra gear ratio's over the six-speed make it much move flexible in the mountains, especially going down hill where "Grade Braking" down shifts as required to hold the speed back to whatever the cruise control was set at. Really saves on brake pads.

I dislike this post. I dislike it very much. It reminds me of when the Fonze was jumping over 14 barrels. To be continued they said. I had to wait a week for that $hit! I cannot find any info on this. How about providing some?

The stator support shaft update number is 16-na-014 it's not a normal one number and it was applied to my 2015 Sept build 6.2l . That said if you have the same symptoms in your 5.3l I would insist on having it changed.

The symptom that they say it fixes is the slow engagement into drive or reverse from park. Turns out it fixed almost everything.

It's been there all week so far. No rental car. Haven't heard anything yet.

Got the truck back today. Another software update and fast learn. Sadly worse than before. This makes 4 repair attempts. I out of time and patience. Guess I'm headed to arbitration. I want to say I am glad there are a lot of people that own 6 and 8 speed gm trucks that enjoy them with no issues. They are beautiful trucks. I really love mine. I hope that gm comes up with a good repair for everyone else. If gm agrees to buy my truck back I'm gonna get a new duramax. I think they ate more trouble free transmissions. If not then I will sell it and I don't know what the heck I'm gonna do lol.
