Just to be clear the kit doesn't include the mirrors. It provides just the lower plastics with integrated cameras that replace the current plastics on the tow mirrors. As a matter of fact if you have the chromed tow mirrors you end up swapping the lower chrome for black plastics. I'm concerned if the new regular mirror kit would end up swapping my chrome mirrors out for full black plastics. I'm not interested in the chrome caps but I don't see how they can replace a portion of the regular mirror like they're doing on the tow mirrors. For those looking to move up to tow mirrors and get this kit you could be looking at a $2K to get mirrors harnesses and trailering cameras!

Side ones are cool, but I would love one for the bed more than anything. I really feel like GM should have given this option from the get go launch of 2014. But like most else , it waits for ford first.

Yup. Just like Apple vs Android. Apple is always behind.

They will be releasing an optional bed camera that replaces the rear cab brake/bed light.

I was talking with the parts department at my dealer the other day. They pulled one out and opened up the box for me. They had both the one for the towing mirrors and the standand mirrors. Looks like I nice kit - but - for the towing mirrors they do not have them in chrome. And then there is the price...

I'm leaning towards getting the kit for the standard mirrors. I'm picking up the install instructions today. I found an online retailer that would be about $900 delivered. Hoping I can find a bigger discount closer to black Friday though. The company that actually makes the parts has an install video on YouTube for the trailering version.

The cheapest on-line I have found it is ShopChevyParts.com .... Just waiting for some extra cash.

They don't show the part number for the standard mirrors. Only the towing mirrors. Also looks like they only list them under the 17 models. I had a hard time finding even those since I was looking under the 16's. The price does look good depending on shipping and tax. With a discount code I found the standard mirrors for $892.44 including tax and shipping. Edit: also checked their sister site thechevypartsplace.com and the standard mirror version was listed for 919.08. Guess the towing mirror version isn't selling as well f they can cut it to 799. 799 is dealer cost at least for the standard version from what i was told.

I placed my order yesterday. I am excited to see how it works. GM has released the third brake light replacement unit with the camera built in. I will order and add that in later on... I do wish the towing mirror lower part was in chrome but I will get over it. ;-)
