Help me choose between these 2 trucks

I'm completely stumped on which truck to choose, so I'm asking the masses for help Both trucks are 2016 Sierra SLTs, same color, same interior.

Truck 1 - SLT Premium Package which includes lane assist, park assist, and some other stuff that I don't really care about. Heated steering wheel, sliding rear window, and bed liner. 8-speed transmission. Chrome-clad wheels. $1500 cheaper than Truck 2.

Truck 2 - Z71 4x4, no lane assist, park assist, etc. No heated steering wheel, no sliding rear window, no bed liner. 6-speed transmission. Polished wheels. $1500 more expensive than Truck 1.

Considerations: I live in Texas and don't actually leave pavement often, so I don't know how much use of the 4wd I'd get, but it's nice to have if you need it. Getting 4wd for only $1500 more in this case seems like a great deal. The 8-speed shifts much smoother than the 6-speed, but I have HP Tuners and I know the support for the 8-speed right now is lacking. If I go with Truck 2, I think I'd miss the sliding glass window but I don't use it that often. If I get Truck 2, I'd probably have to pay $400 to get the spray-in bedliner done. I like the polished wheels over the chrome.

In reality, I realize this is my decision but I'm hoping someone will point out something that I hadn't thought of that will sway me one way or another. Halp!

Dang. You couldn't have highlighted a more valuable set of features that are different.

See if you can get the dealer to spray a Bed liner in the deal and take the Z71. If ever needed, it will have s higher trade/resale value - maybe more so than the $1500 you pay up front. I don't have lane/park assist and don't miss it (I drove a rental to Orlando and back with it and the novelty was long gone before I got home.). I don't have sliding rear window either. I know I'm gonna regret that at some point. I'm allowed to smoke a cigar in my own truck on occasion...

go with truck #1 - nothing on #2 that you can't do yourself later on with much better equipment and results for probably cheaper

Find a truck similar to #1 with 4x4 Z71. Get as close to exactly what you want so you won't wish you had.

The Z71 will retain its value better IMO more people will buy a 4x than not.

At 2-4 yrs old, yes. At 10 yrs people are buying a deal. So that comes down to planned trade window & location.

South of I40 would guess 2wd may have fair long term market value.

For reference, ran some numbers on trading a 2013 SLE 4wd, leather seats, sliding rear window, 20" wheels, 6.2L & 16,000 miles for a 2016 here in IL.

Received bottom of the barrel wholesale. My truck has been garaged, no rust anywhere, not a dent or ding in it. Not complaining with the offer, it is what it is.

My point is in 3 yrs the rumored new T2xx will be here & the 2016 at that point may have similar numbers for trade ins.
