2016 Sierra Denali Cocoa/Dune Floor Mats - Help!

I just bought a 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali w/ Cocoa/Dune interior. I'm struggling on a floor mat for the color of the interior. The tan from weathertech doesn't match well. Any other suggestions? Pictures please. (I saw a previous post in 2014 but am curious on updated info.)

sigh, GM makes "floor liners" for the Cocoa/Dune interior, they are similar to the weather tech's. Try a search...

IMO, the GM floor liners are superior to weather techs, they are thicker and made with a more rubbery material, my 2010 caddie weather tech's now feel like cheap plastic liners.

Not sure why peeps buy light colored interiors, after working as a tech for years, the light colored seats and trim really take a beating and hard to keep clean, I remember when MB sold a very close to white colored interior, man o man the customers were pissed, they were swapping out trim and sills to keep from getting shoe scuffs on entry/exit, the carpet always looked nasty, lucky GM put the dark color Cocoa on the carpet. still I cant stand the sight of Cocoa/Dune esp... on a Denali yuck to each is their own, good luck.

Because the black interiors get HOT. I agree the tan and grey interiors show wear but after owning my last 2 vehicles with black interiors I will not go back. I liked the Dune since the carpet and dash are a nice compromise between black and a lighter color.

I had a double cab previously with black interior so I brought them over to my cocoa/dune truck as well. Since the area around the floor is mainly the darker color the black mats don't look too bad. I'm with you in that I don't care much for the tan Weathertechs.

All interior's get hot! black gets a bit hotter, but I have window tint and windshield sun shade so not really a issue, I am in TX so I understand HOT just fine, its finally reaching 100 degrees here still have no issues.

You can almost brand yourself with the seatbelt buckle on any color interior here, reducing direct sunlight is key.

I went with black Husky floor mats and they look just fine next to the Coco/Dune interior.

Light color floor mats look like crap from the black soles of shoes on them. That is how our tan Yukon floor mats look, always looking dirty. Get a dark colored floor mat (at least a dark brown) so it won't show as much. Who cars about matching it is on the floor which you never see and it won't match after a little time stepping on them...

BTW, the vehicle color is more dependent on the heat inside than the interior color. Colors are heat temperament in direct sunlight, interiors barely get any sun and are just susceptible to the air temperature inside. Light exterior, dark interior will be the same or extremely to a light exterior and light interior. Though I do prefer how the tan/brown interior looks, I do too many dirty things to have to worry about keeping it clean so it was black for me.

Camcamaro, living in Texas as well and we have had a few black trucks, pretty much done with them. They show so many imperfections and they do get hotter (testing showed about 15 degrees+/-). They heat up faster and take longer to cool. Even my dark green is a little much but I like the color.

Some more interesting info "A 2011 study by the Berkeley Lab Environmental Energy Technologies Division discovered that white, silver, and other light paint colors do improve a car's efficiency. The study, which pitted a silver Honda Civic against a black one, found that light colored cars reflect about 60 percent of sunlight compared to dark colored cars. This translates to a 2 percent decrease in fuel economy (due to increased air conditioner use), a 1.9 percent increase in carbon dioxide emissions, and a 1 percent increase in other harmful emissions for a black car [source: Owano]."

I had the light interior in my 09. I have black now. Going back to light. Taking my black Weathertech liners with me. One reason is when you drop something....hard to see with black. Cheers

The factory ones are a perfect match and are available on eBay. I purchased the front and rear full floor liners for mine.

I went with the husky liners. I loved weathertech but the passenger side doesn't have an anchor and slides. The husky has factory style nibs on the underside to keep them in place.

Even with light colored interiors, I always use black mats/liner, there is usually black pretty close to the floor and the contrast looks better.
