where to find engine wiring harness 97 GMC 4.3

hello everyone at the GM truck forum. I'm new here and my name is Doug. yes, I need some help locating an engine wiring harness for a 1997 GMC C1500 SL 4.3 6cyl truck. I tried to use an engine harness from a suburban, same year, but from a v8 engine and just couldn't get the check engine light to turn off and the maf sensor package would not install. I live in California so I must get it installed correctly if I am ever gonna get this truck to pass the smog test to complete my registration.

So I am asking for any help that could be given here at the forum. Hopefully the name of a parts store or website that will carry the part that I need. Or, maybe even better yet, the actual part itself. Wouldn't that be a hoot!

says its compatible with your truck. but id double check.
