Sport Bar Mounted Light Kit Part #23415421

Hey Folks,

I have a 2017 coming in a few week and am pondering adding the bed mounted Sport Bar. On that Sport Bar, I've seen a couple different set of lights mounted. One of them is:

Lamp, Front Roof Mounted, Off-Road - For use with T3U Fog Lamps

Part #23415421

Has anyone had any experiences with this kit? It's about $1000. Would a Rigid Industries kit be better?

Regards,

John

I recently bought this one for my silverado and added the gm led lights, I think that's the ones you are talking about. This lights are really bright I was surprise. When I bought the bar I got it with the employee discount and I bought the lights 50% off it was a heck of a deal. I went those lights because I want to keep my ride oem as much as I can. Here's some pics. I'll take some at night so you can see how bright they are..392ea0f4df78c836e92aed1cb95d777b.jpg6029c19ccc9e745c90a16c3dbb77838c.jpg

Awesome! Yes, that is the exact combination that I am looking at having done. I was planning on negotiating the Sport Bar and Light Kit into the deal. The dealership will give me a good price on labor.

Question---I know there are two (2) of these light kits: one using the fog lamps and one without. The dealership recommended the kit with for the fog lamps since my Z71 LTZ will have those. Does that mean that they can only be turned on while the fog lamps are running? I'm curious about that.

Yes, I'd love to see any pics you have at night. It looks excellent on your truck!

Regards,

John

No, there are 2 type of trucks, one with the fog lights and one without. The one with the fog lights allows to have 3 buttons like this951180234dfc9b2031a17f2f44609853.png so one button for your bars lights and one for your fog lights.

IMO a front or roof mounted LED bar would be 100× better for that price. maybe a regular cab they would be ok there but the seem next to useless on a crew cab way back there. guess its mostly for looks anyway unless you activly offroad at night or work in the oilfields as they are not street legal

You are 100% right. There's no doubt that a 50" roof-mounted LED light bar would be more effective. Neither of which is street legal---that I know from my Jeeps. They will ticket you in Maryland if you ever turn on those AUX lights.

I'm going to have to think this one over...none of these lights are cheap.

If you really want to light thing up like Dogders stadium and mount on that sportbar maybe consider these. With a name like Light Cannon you know its badassery.

I actually have this one for sell, my truck didn't come with the oem fog lights so it didn't work me so I ended up using a toggle switch and I have this for sell.
