Here I go again. After the wrong 2016 truck showed up at the dealership in June, 19 weeks after ordering it....

 

Im now waiting for the new 2017 to be produced. Customer Service shows that its been picked up and has a TPW of 9/12.

 

Can't wait to get this over with.

Is yours a DoubleCab by any chance? I ordered a DC back in early July and also have a TPW of 9/12 which just so happens to be the Job One date for DC's. Makes me wonder if they just give that date until production actually starts . . . . .

I'd think the truck that you ordered was sold to someone else for alot more than you were to pay - hence they told you your truck AIN'T here ... BS story by the dealer - just a guess - trucks that were ordered don't disappear / $$$ talks

Update:

 

The news keeps getting better. The truck was produced yesterday 9/12 and I have a VIN.

 

Now its time for the transportation waiting game. Expecting a week to ten day transit from Ft Wayne to SE Connecticut.

Thanks. Once I had the VIN. I checked it on the GM VINcard. Im pretty sure the CC's are still manufactured in Mexico.

That's good stuff. Thanks. Did you keep checking with customer service or did your salesperson let you know that is was produced? I'm asking because I hope that mine is built the same day as the TPW as yours.

I was under the impression that the CC are built in both Mexico and the Ft Wayne plant as of sometime during the 2015 production run.

I'm not sure. The stuff I saw online was in Mexico. I will let you know when I know. I am in South Florida so I don't know which would be quicker to arrive.

Check with customer service each day and give them your order number and they should be able to tell you the VIN when its been produced. As stated above, if built in Mexico the 1st digit will be a 3 and the 11th will be a G.

Finally, IT'S HERE.

 

Heres a shot of it on the dealers lot waiting to be serviced for delivery. Pick up day is Thursday. After a quick outside inspection (Sunday-dealer closed) I noticed that it didn't have the LED cargo bed lights. Will mention this when I talk to my salesman.

 

Question? Anyone else have a 2017 Reg or Dbl cab yet?

Are you not able to pick it up before Thursday? Just curious.....I'm not sure I could wait that long.
