It's got over 335,000 miles. Have any of you guys seen one of these trucks with mileage like that and nothing rebuilt?

Not uncommon in Texas, my brother Inlaw routinely puts 250-300K on. Wide open travel and no snow. Around the block here is 100 miles and 90 minutes.

I tend to keep up on these things..

those multi coils aren't going past the old disty.. but that model with a stick is my next purchase.

 

I am at 355k now, 13 sec quarter mile.

It has been fooling people since day 1. Doesn't sound like the old generation at all. I had to do some steel work, the rhino lining above the cross sills munched the cross sills to death. Hot sun, 20 below winter.

20 years.

about as serious as it got.

that is a nice thought...

 

gets ghostly around a million. My dad has been trucking for 40 years. Parts gone bad was phenomenal. Axle casings breaking in half, kingpins changed to another chape n the front axles..

 

 

shadows in the seat on the 35mm film through the windshield.

 

there is drawbacks to high miles. Something knows a human is at the helm...

I have a 2000 silverado with 341,000 on it . it still runs great , i just use it for a spare vehicle . i have a friend that has a 1995 silverado with 525,000 miles on it

we have at least one that I know of at work a 2003 silverado 4x4 (that's right work truck totally used and abused its entire life) it is currently right at or possibly over 500,000 miles and the boys headed out for New Orleans in it last week. Most of the 3/4 ton chevys (fleet of about 20) have over 400,000 miles. If you do not get 1/2 million miles out of a modern GM truck you should be pretty disappointed........
