Convince me not to do this lol

Okay so my truck has a super 10 muffler, aftermarket headlights and taillights, rear added ridge lights in the bumper, line x front and rear bumpers, CAI, lift & tires, about to line x the flares.

Basically today I got my truck detailed and had about 5 people stop to take pictures of it and everything. It has a couple scratches cause I use my truck as a truck. But I'm getting those touched up and then spending 1200$ on a ceramic pro coating that last for 5 years to keep it very clean looking.

Thing is I've had all these people likening my truck all day and I keep telling them I'll sell them it for the right price. I even casually spoke to a dealership rep who said when I trade in my truck all the stuff done to it that I added they will incorporate with a trade in price of what it's worth.

My pay off is 33k ( dunno how much the trucks worth ) it's has 24 k miles.

I've put around 8k into it and put 9k down when purchased. It was msrp for 61k it came with the lift and I talked them down 10k. When I signed the deal I paid 48k with 9k cash down walking out oweing 39k ( assuming it's a good deal )

It's a 2015 SLT 4x4 z71 1500 with max trailering package and 5.3 v8 and 3.42 gears.

I am getting an itch to trade it in or sell it and then buy a 2500 HD SLT or Denali and then start all over and fix it up. So I'm pretty much trying to get you guys to convince me this is a bad idea Lol

Also no I do not tow much at all. I'm just wanting a 2500 dmax for the hell of it and that " bad ass " factor.

Help me make a bad decision or a good one! Plz

I doubt that. The dealer wants you to trade it in so he can make money off it, not so you can make money.

Do it, financially speaking it would be horrible not to listen to a bunch of strangers on a forum who you never met. Make sure to get that coating that doesn't do anything on there before trading it in for the next guy to or you might lose on the trade in, don't forget to pay to have the flares lined ass well. The dealer would in no way not try and screw you adding in the upgrades to your trade in and tell you they will give you fill value

Make sure to get a 2017 so you can drop how much torque your diesel puts out in the conversation along with 4wd, your lift specs and tire size

The dealer themselves sell lifted and modded trucks so that's why they said they will work with me with what the NADA is worth and what I've put into it. I know it seems a little dumb? And some of you may think I'm crazy but I just love modding vehicles, I mean in all seriousness would going to an HD be a bad move? I'm

Looking for realistic pros and cons here not sarcastic comments.

My cousin just moved from an HD back to a 1500 with the 6.2 and Max Trailering because of the ride differences. He said the HD rides like a truck and not as comfortable, but with a lift and whatnot you may not care as much.

Other than that if you can afford it and you enjoy modding vehicles I don't think it is a bad decision. I think your truck looks great and it has pretty low miles as well so I wouldn't be trading it but to each their own!

If you aren't going to work the diesel, I wouldn't get one, unless you just have big bucks to fix it lol. Get one with a 6.0L gas and soup up the motor since you said you love modding trucks and make it bad ass. I think that would be even more impressive honestly. But, if you want a diesel then we can't stop you obviously haha. I wouldn't get ripped off on the truck. Sounds like you may just about break even, but losing your down payment in the process honestly

Other than that if you can afford it and you enjoy modding vehicles I don't think it is a bad decision. I think your truck looks great and it has pretty low miles as well so I wouldn't be trading it but to each their own!

I'm just running out of ideas on modding it... and it makes me sad . My girlfriend and her dad said I should just keep it and pay it off and that I have such a sweet rig a lot of people would be jealous.

Don't sell . YOU built it the way you wanted it - enjoy it. good looking truck ,low mileage , set back an think about this (take a break ) . I would keep it for a few years . If you got extra MONEY , BUY us all new trucks .
