I have all the powers and grounds wired up at this point. I used a circuit breaker at the battery. There's no real good location to mount a breaker or fuse holder under the hood so this will do for now until I get a better idea.

Those circuit breakers wear out over time just so you know.

Where is your penetration?

Same place everyone else uses.

I should go start wiring up the speakers since I have a few free hours.

I got some terminals at work so I can add the two extra tweeter circuits in the doors.

Part numbers are 60000511 for the door side of the connector, and 964265-2 for the body side.

Leads added to both sides of the door connector

So my original plan was to make a plug and play T harness starting from the radio, and run all new speaker wires so I didn't have to touch the factory harness. After looking at the schematics for a while I decided a better idea was to just use two runs of 9 wire, one for left side and one for right side and tap into the connectors at the kick panels. So on each side of the truck I have one pair of wires taking the feed back to the amp, and the other 3 pairs going from the amp back to the speakers. Much easier.  I got the left side done today.

Finally got it playing music. Those 8" subs are really impressive. I'll be tuning this thing for hours, but so far it sounds 1000 times better than stock, and I can actually get some volume out of it now.

Time to start putting the interior back together and make the install look pretty. Hoping to be finished today.

Just gotta throw the seats and door panels back in. I'll be happy to drive it again after 2 months of it being apart.

Installed the JL Audio DRC-205 on the dash, didn't really have a trick place to hide it. It has two knobs, one for master volume, and one for bass volume. And also you can push on it to change your preset eq settings. The illumination changes color depending what preset you are on.
