If it's warranty we hold it for 90 days, GM calls ramdom parts back in that time period. After 90 days they send you a list of parts you can scrap, all these parts must be destroyed. My dealer is really strict on this, but some things still slip through the cracks during the scrapping process ?

I have a feeling they have a pretty big crack there! :D

I got 70 sq ft of Ensolite on its way.   Hopefully It's enough.  I haven't ordered any MLV yet though.

I still have to get some of that spray foam you guys were talking about.  I read I need the window and door kind because the other ones expand so far they can warp the panels?

That is correct. What I do is start at one end and squirt just a tiny bit at a time letting each squirt expand fully until it reaches the hole I stuck the nozzle through. I then cover the next several holes to keep it from oozing out all over and repeat. Once you reach the last hole on the other side just turn the nozzle the opposite direction to fill that last little bit and you shouldn't have much oozing out to clean up.

You could even blue tape around the holes. Spray the foam. Use a razor bladeto cut thr excess off and then pull thr blue tape.  I did thos when i put concrete in the roof of my 07 silverado

I got one can of foam and started slowly installing it Saturday. one 12 ounce can did about a 3rd of the space back there.  I checked it Sunday, looked good.  Checked again Monday, still good.  Today I buy 4 more cans.  I go out to the garage and open the truck,  it seems that somewhere between Monday night an now, Foam leaked out of some holes at the bottom and got all over the back wall.  I have no idea how this happened days later, but it did.  It peeled right off but it was really strange.  I forgot to take a pick of it.

anyways,  I put two more cans in tonight and pretty much got the whole space filled.

Would you guys use foam in the gaps in the front and rear of the roof, and also the B pillars,  or just leave that stuff alone?

Also, the exhaust heat shields bolted to the bottom of the floor above the exhaust rattle like crazy when I pull my truck in and out of the garage.  I have to take care of that too.  Might only be when it's cold though.

Just deaden the outside of the bpillar. Those are curved panels sothey have more support and shouldn't rattle

I love this spray foam crap.  it made more difference than I expected.  I had a few spots in the house where I needed to use a couple squirts, so I opened up an other can,  and used the rest in the truck again.  I started doing the panel on the back of the roof where the 3rd brake light is,  and did get some on the B pillar between the first and second layers of metal behind the speakers. (there's at least 3 layers total  in them).

I have one can left, I'll probably do the panel above the windshield.

My Ensolite will be here tomorrow, but not sure if I'll get any in this weekend since I'll be doing an engine swap in my new plow truck.

Btw, I competed IASCA way back when in my '78 El Camino and the judges couldn't believe how quiet that car was (It had tons of deadener along with foam in every cavity and I used those little felt pads you put under lamps etc between every hard to hard surface so there was not one rattle in that thing!)

I finished the deadener and started installing the ensolite on the back wall today.

I also finished putting spray foam in the front and rear gaps of the ceiling. I didn't go too crazy around the 3rd brake light, I want to be able to take it out when I need to.

When I ensolite to doors, can I just put it on the back of the door panel, or does it need to go on the door itself? I feel on the door it will just get messed up if I ever need to repair anything in there.

The uncovered part is where I'm going to glue the amp rack.  I decided on putting it on the back wall.

I used industrial velcro to mount the amp board, then put the factory deadener on, and set the amp right on the deadener.
