Wireless Charging Device Compatibility and Testing info

It's not in the list in the above link. but the Samsung Galaxy S7 will wireless charge in the truck.

It must be pushed towards the back of the tray for it to charge.

With a "lifeproof' waterproof protective case, it will not fit in the tray well enough to charge.

If you want to use Android Auto, it must be connected by USB. Wireless tray charging is redundant if it's going to be usb connected anyway.

With my S7 Edge, even with no case, wireless charging is spotty at best, no matter how its placed in the tray. My moto droid turbo was great at charging

Try pulling off the ruber piece and flip it, so the phone sets more back.

My S7 edge with a slim case never charged till i did that. Tho my girls S7 edge in a battery case charged just fine

Use a 2014-15 console lid and the $15 mod. Works much better than the 2016 up.

My S7 active was perfect until a Samsung update hit the phone. I finally got high enough up at Samsung to confirm the update has changed the wireless charging protocol, they only want you using Samsung chargers and wont fix the wireless charging issue as of now.

MY Samsung S7 galaxy -

Only worked for a second - no more. I had no case. Then I added a cheap thin plastic case and it works 80% of the time on the first try. But I do have to turn the phone around so the front faces the rear of the truck.

My friend has the same truck - my phone will only charge when the phone is put on the charger the normal way.. not backwards. Go figure..

It doesn't work in my Yukon though.

Had my S7 charging on the tray yesterday and it worked fine.

It only works when placed towards the back of the tray. (and oriented so the top of the screen is towards the front of the truck)

AA doesn't work or wireless charging doesn't work? (or both?)

I use a "MobilePal" case for my iphone 6, it fits and charges fine. It was a bit tricky to get it in the right spot, but now it syncs up everytime I set it down.

The original Droid Turbo does fine as well. I don't have the wireless charger in my truck but my buddy's 2016 LTZ does and it connects and charges within seconds.
