The dilemma....

I'm curious what gm will come out with after the 3rd. I can still find well over 50 2016 duramax trucks in a 100 mile radius of me. There's alot of ltz's and high country's out there not many lt's left. 2017's hitting the lots the 16's gotta be harder to sell you would think.

Which is EXACTLY why I bought an LML. I get 5500-5700 miles out of the DEF and I fill it up when I do my oil changes. I heard of someone putting a brand new L5P on a dyno and it only made 404 HP

Only? The engine is rated at 425hp. Was 404 at the wheels if you and I are talking about the same dyno run. I'd say ~ 5% drivetrain loss is pretty good.

Also made ONLY 880 or 890 ft-lbs at the wheels. I don't remember but either way its nuts. i will have one in the next few years for sure.

Just drove it home 150 miles and I'm in love. First diesel I've owned avg mpg was 18.5 for the trip home and there is only 175 on the odometer. Very impressed with fuel usage and power.

I don't know how much discount you can get on '16s, I presume a few grand more, but I was able to get my '17 3500 CC LWB LTZ for $10K off. I will have it delivered next week! You guys should check out the volume dealers for discounts.

Regarding HP/TQ figures: They are actually at the rear wheels. Assuming 13-15% usual drivetrain loss for a RWD, it actually makes more than the advertised numbers of 445 HP (not 425) and 910 TQ : )

They let me keep my wheels and tires from my trade there was only about 600 miles on them so we just swapped. 20161230_083631_zpspbqrhyd5.jpg20161230_083637_zpsfhlfdock.jpg
