WIRELESS CARPLAY

I have a 2017 LTZ 1500 DOUBLE CAB, was wondering if anyone has had any luck getting a software update from dealership, to get wireless Apple CARPLAY to work? Also interested in knowing if anyone has got any kind of update for the APPSHOP.

Are you having an issue? My 5s works fine with my 17. You do have it connected with a cord don't you?

Mine works fine with usb plugged in, but it should be able to do it wirelessly also, either wifi or Bluetooth.

CarPlay only works when its plugged in. My 17 maxima is the same way

Can you have vids pop up on the infotainment screen??? Have a 17 loaner with car play and just audio pops up. No video if YouTube is playing in my phone.

Wired only, video will not play if the vehicle is in motion or in reverse or drive with stationary.

Car Play is also limited to what apps Apple decides to load into it. For example, Waze isn't available, but I just noticed that Spotify has been added. Perhaps this was a while ago, but I just noticed it. I have it on my other car as well. Sure wish they'd allow Waze, but I don't think it will ever happen since it pulls info from Google Maps.

YouTube is not a CarPlay app. It’s restricted to things that won’t distract the driver. Mostly audio stuff like music (iHeartRadio, pandora, etc) and navigation. Audio Podcasts as well.

If you use Droid you can use WAZE as well as YouTube.   But, Youtube video will not be on screen.
