Radio media source volume low

When I play a media from my phone, either connected via Bluetooth or 3.5mm cable, the volume is very low. I have to turn up the volume on my phone and the volume on the radio. Changing back to another source, the volume is extremely loud. I've tried multiple apps on the phone (music apps and YouTube). All have same effect. Volume is fine when using BT phone connection, and Maps and music in Android Auto. Only seems to be an issue in the Media source on the radio.

 

Is this normal?

Your phone volume should be all the way up. Totally normal

This^^^^^ Also, some apps are quieter than others. For instance, Spotify is quieter than say google play or amazon music. Don't know why this is, just my observation. Also, BT is probably the best way to go.

It's the Same way on every other system I've ever used a phone with that I can think of. Can't even hear the waze lady unless my phone volume is cranked.

Same problem. Phone volume way up. Connected via Bluetooth. Need to have the truck volume at least twice as as high as I do when listening to radio.

Seems to be pretty typical, was even worse on my 2009 Dually. Word of advice, and I haven't noticed it on my S7 compared to my iPhone, but put it one notch below max volume as you can get some distortion on max when using the headphone jack.

I have an S7 and have to do the same. I did NOT have problems with my previous S4 in the same truck (2015 LT) ...
