Not sure how to rotate photo etc... sorry!

My body shop guy is giving the headrest situation some thought.

The truck was too much of a looker to let go. Very unique looking with the premium plus package with the wide Goodyear LS's.

I Drove the F 150, and even though it seemed more spacious and comfortable in the back seat, the GMC had me the moment I laid eyes on it on the showroom floor.

There are so many F150's on the road, they don't really stand out to me like this one did.

I tried to keep emotion out of it but failed.

Plus the 11k off didn't hurt!

Find a good upholstery shop - not your body shop. You'll probably need some supports/brackets added internally and then add the stock headrest. I'm betting it's not that big of a job for any competent shop. Kepp us in the loop.

Congratulations! Nice truck! Whether you choose an auto body or auto upholstery shop, don't delay with getting this head restraint situation resolved! It will be a topic brought up in future arguments (related or unrelated to trucks) if you procrastinate on this issue! I've 40 yrs. experience!

Yes pearl white with tan leather. Considering adding the Retrax in the bed.

Wow - Saw that color first on a sunny but frosty Jan morning - on the dealer lot when shopping to order mine. Hood was really frosted and all around the edges that color just sparkled. Good pick again !

You know with yours and other’s ideas to take it to an upholstery shop for that headrest mod – this is a WIN - WIN for you and the wife - and you can keep both the truck and the wife!

 

It would be no different than having Katzkin leather installed – which I had done on the 2007.5 - they remove the upholstery “cover” to do so.

 

Then install headrest brackets and headrest - maybe sourced from a 2014-2017 junkyard seat. Then re-install the original leather.....

LOL - Well it was half-way serious - meet in the middle as always........

 

Check out page 20 of the GMC brochure for this exploded seat view - pretty simple mounting looks like............
