NOT AGAIN!

Ok, so I've read plenty of threads and everyone says "Bosch Icons"! Yeah, they are pretty awesome!

Sadly, I have a 2015 with some stupid new clip design and Bosch doesn't make set for that year. I even called them.

I got some Triflex Teflon crap whatever from Advanced Autoparts and they suck.

Any recommendations or should I just go to dealer and get OEM?

The ones I have streak and chatter like a drunk girl at bar.

Well, geswek, reading your post got me thinking. I also have a 2015. And due to my using a daily driver work beater and the truck living in the garage til the weekend, I have not needed to replace my blades yet.

I didn't know they were a goofy clip/arm. I did some looking and it appears the arm we have is called PTB (Pinch Tab Button)

Rain-x sells several of the beam style that fit: https://www.rainx.com/blade-size-finder/

some blades I have bought in the past from the local Fleet Farm come with all kinds of adapters that i thought are able to fit any arm style.

I have found that even cheapo blades work fine for a while. The key is to keep your windshield and wipers relatively clean so that when it does rain, you are not smearing bug guts and dirt around on the glass. I have been in the habit of washing my windows every time I get gas (learned that from the old man). I generally have no streaking problems with any of my vehicles. And when I do, the blades get replaced.

side note- do you have any other foreign materials on your glass?? bird poop, tree sap, or even wax or rain-x that you apply can affect how the wipers work.

I just bought a set of Bosch Icons and they work fine. They have an adapter on them when you unpackage them. Take that off and they fit.

I park in garage at work and at home every day -- my first set lasted until now and I bought truck in December 2015.

I don't think anything is on it; but I do need to wash it.

No kidding?! On a 2015?

So just pop the adapter off it and they'll snap on?

Why not just refill with OEM? How often they get changed is way more important than what with.

Yep i have a 2015. I was pissed when i initially bought them because they bracket was too large and they wouldn't fit. Played around with them and found that the bracket comes off and the correct one is underneath it.

I wonder why Bosch doesn't list these on their website? They say there is no PN for 2015 Silverado 1500. Even Advanced said the same--though I take her comments with a grain of salt.

RainX extreme clean works well on glass that normal glass cleaner won't clean...it's a paste.

What Hey_Fam said... when you get the Icons, make sure you get the "22OE" not the standard 22. They work fine, you just remove the extra clip from the new wipers and they go on just like OEM. The 21OE are on sale on Amazon for $10/ea right now. One member here said he preferred that size. I'm using the 22 and they are fine, but I might grab a pair of 21s as a backup.

Thanks!

I just made order on Amazon for mine and also some Icon's for my wife's CX-5.

I love Icon; just got annoyed that it was said they wouldn't work. LOL

I have a 2015 Sierra and I just installed some bosch icons last week. 22 OE both sides. Just have to take off a cover that comes on the wipers and they click right in.

Just go OEM. The OEM blades used to suck but the last couple of years they have gotten much better (and they're made by Bosch anyway). The cost of the OEM ones used to be high too but they are much more reasonable now.

I used to swear by Icons but the last few vehicles I put them on they put too much pressure against the windshield and did not clear correctly.
