Mid-travel suspension kits and Air suspension

First time poster here. I have been looking a lot at a mid-travel chase kit from Bajakits for my 2015 Silverado double cab midnight edition. All the options look good but from what I can guess I will probably lose some towing capacity when is comes to tongue weight and max payload. So I am considering installing airlift suspension down the road to gain that loss back. I am curious to see if anybody here has done it before and what, if any, fitment issues were and how much the different suspensions interfere with each other's performance. And if you have never done this before I appreciate any and all input based on your thoughts and guesses. Also, if you have any experience with the maintenance of either of these products, that input would be greatly appreciated

I did the airlift load master 5000 for my trailer/truck. Like you (I think) I bought a truck thinking it would be good to go with my trailer to realize that it just within the limits of my truck.

 

This was the most gratifying towing mod I've done. Easy to install, it weighs about 30lbs total, but made the tongue weight of the trailer almost disappear (in weight bounce on the suspension). I have an equalizer hitch as well; however, this just made the driving experience so much better for long hauls.

Thanks! Does the instal get in the way of your stock shocks at all? I understand it is just supplemental and installs in place of the factor bump stops. I don't think there would be a problem with installing after market shocks and leaf springs because it should work with any leaf spring as long as the u bolts are long enough.

No it doesn't interfere with any suspension parts. I'll get some pics. Look at your rear suspension. The airbags go where the bump stop resides. Pretty far and clear of any suspension parts.

I have this same question. Putting Deaver rear leaf springs and Fox adjustable piggyback shocks in the rear. Worried it will interfere with the performance/ride height since they are required to have no less than 5psi in them at all times. Spending $2k+ on rear suspension parts, I don't want to screw mess with those parts by adding bags.
