Financially, i think I'll be better off to wait until the end of the year and hope that there's some good deals on 2017's at that point. There should be, right? Late November?

There is a balance between finding the right truck for your needs and the amount you will save! I think you will find significantly reduced prices in September/October and the selection starting to be pretty slim in November. Of course this has been my experience where I live and may play out differently elsewhere!

Hate to tell you this, but my dealer told me in April that he was giving me the best deal they could.

Seriously though, I'd think you'd be able to get a good deal on a '17 once the '18's are out and about.

10-4!! Thanks guys. I've been also looking at 2008-2013 chevy's due to how much cheaper they can be had. But they just don't make my toes curl like a 2016+!!

Just really wish you could get a color-matched truck (like a z71) with the max tow package. Oh well! I'll have to be patient and find the right one.

There will probably be some really great deals during the July 4th holiday. I would not settle for anything new unless it was at more than 20% off MSRP.

1 year old low mileage units will save you a bit more of course if funds are tight. You might even find one that someone has added some options onto (bed cover / borla exh etc) that is too your liking and you get those extras for basically free as they add very little value in the used truck market.

So I think I could definitely live with the 6 speed. I don't see a reason to go 8 speed.

I actually took a 2017 out for a test drive yesterday, and I am very impressed with how they drive. Extremely smooth, and the trans/engine combo feels refined. Definitely making it hard for me to be patient.

Still trying to justify spending upwards of $37-40k for a 17. I know it is worth it, but that makes it a little harder for me to plan for a house and other toys haha.

Hard to believe that no one has mentioned magnetic ride control. Not sure if the other models have it as an option, but it's standard on the Denali. After having it I will not buy another vehicle without it. Drive a truck with and without it back to back and you'll agree.

Was not impressed at all, maybe its because the denali loaner I had, had 22's. But you can feel every damn crack in the road. Thats terrific on a sports car, but I don't want that kind of feedback sitting in my captains chair.

Didn't seem to handle any better either. Only positive was that it absorbed pot holes a lot better.

I had a 2016 Denali that had the 20" wheels so I have a pretty good comparison. Now of course all this COULD just be my imagination playing tricks on me! To me this 2017 Ultimate with 22's does add some harshness to the ride despite the MRC. One thing that I noticed when test driving the 2017 Ultimates (all these have 22's) was that the standard bed with the slightly longer wheelbase (9.5"??) versus the Short bed seemed to help the ride a good bit. It seemed to make it ride more like the 2016 with the 20" wheels. So of course I bought the standard bed LOL. Loving this thing so far.

Is it hard to find an LT trim with adjustable foot pedals??? I'm short, only 5'6"... sometimes I find it would be nice to have the foot pedals come forward slightly

I had an LT with the sport package and it had adjustable pedals. I don't think they're all that difficult to find, but if you're like me and know exactly what you want and don't want it becomes a little tricky.

Well guys, I've decided that I'm going to go with an older GM truck. I sold my 2012 Ram diesel and am on the hunt. Yes, I LOVE the new body styles, but it just isn't practical right now for me. I am usually driving a company vehicle for work and I do not need something sitting in my driveway taking up $30k+ of my money anymore. I've decided an older 1/2 will fulfill my towing/hauling/driving needs while keeping the bank account rather happy.

I'm going after a 2008-2012 crew cab chevy/gmc 1500 4x4 5.3. Hopefully I can find one in the grey color I love for the right price!!
