while I don't have the desire to transform my Silverado into a "race truck", I did install this CAI on my Camaro, and my butt dyno says it added a little hp. As far as the comment of $200 install, it was so easy, that a caveman could install it.

Obviously it is an install so simple even a moron couldn't mess it up, but, it does require time and labor. The comment on a $200 install was not for a self install but to have the one shown in the box installed by an auto shop like the one doing the before and after with the dyno install, unless the one shown in the video magically installed itself after the first run....or unless the shop does work for free.

 

And I installed a CAI on my '15 Camaro too! But I wasn't foolish enough to expect horsepower.... only to get the extra noise!! Purchase was a midlife "toy" to regain the feel of my old '69 302 R/T on the cheap.....so I got one with the racing stripes, spoiler and splitter so it looked great but with the pu$$y 3.6l, 6spd. The CAI really made it sound great at the high end just like a monster V8.......but that's all......not even a gain in butt hp was felt......but the CAI everything I hoped for, worked just like the baseball cards I used to clothespin to the fork of my bicycle to flap in the spokes! Had to dump it after 6 months because it was a real cop magnet like driving a 1-1/2 ton powdered donut.......may have looked like a 1st gen Camaro, but ran like a piece of crap compared to one........sat too low with limited viability and shifting with the crap Jap 6 spd couldn't hold a candle to the old 4 spd. Hurst. Besides the 2.0T in the Malibu and the 3.6l in the Impala are just as fast with a hulluva lot more comfortable ride.

I will have to agree with the old school car comment. My 69 was a lot more fun to drive.
