Avinad Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 Whats up I have 2015 Silverado 1500 with a 4.5" lift on 35s. For a while even before the lift I have had problem with loud and obnoxious leaf springs. Its always when i come to a stop or accelerate/reverse from 0-5mph. I don't want to go through the hassle and back and forth bs from a dealer if i take it in to diagnose and fix this problem. My question is does anyone know of any good aftermarket oem type leaf springs that I can buy?
RyanbabZ71 Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 try cutting bicycle tubes and putting them in between the leafs. It will help. I can take a photo of what I did to my 2010 if you like. Cost is less than $10, worth a try imo

A.J. Curtis Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 If you have pictures that would be cool Yeah I've been looking at those. Been looking for someone on here running them but i haven't seen anyone I ran them on my last truck which was a ram but I loved them. I have not had any issues with my stocks so far but after I install the fox 2.5's and dirt king control arms I will probably get a set of deaver springs.
GMC-AT Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 OEM springs are garbage if you drive in any dirt/sand. I have had 2 of these trucks - same issues even after dealer replaced springs. Save yourself the hassle, get replaced with non oem. Read here - http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/200112-leaf-spring-creaks-and-noise-fixed-new-leaf-springs/
LongrangeLauber Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 You can run the BDS glide ride springs without the stock block and get 4.5" of lift, won't get any more axle wrap and reduce wheel hop

Those springs are not bad at all for the price. I wonder if anyone has gotten any here and had the same issues as the OP. GMC-AT Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 I got those springs for my 2016... all has been good so far for a few months.
Avinad Posted July 4, 2017 Author Posted July 4, 2017 I got those springs for my 2016... all has been good so far for a few months. What is the part number if you remember for the leafs. I tried looking some up and some only go to 2013 models and others say 2015 but for 2500 models
chris15706 Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 My brand new truck developed some leaf spring noise after a few thousand miles. The dealer replaced the pads and sprayed some truck bed liner type stuff on the springs. They have been quiet for the last 6 months. Not sure if it is a permanent fix though. country_09 Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 Have 6" atlas springs on my other truck(2001 Silverado) with fox resis and love em. But I got a hell of a deal on em for 200$.

Avinad Posted July 6, 2017 Author Posted July 6, 2017 I called deaver to try and order leaf springs but they won't have any for my truck for another 2-3 weeks. Then i called BDS multiple times and left messages and got hung up on a few times so i don't think i will be doing business with bds
A.J. Curtis Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 That is crazy that no one has gotten back to you. it looks like the BDS Glide-Ride leaf springs are available through multiple vendors. They are sold individually with no bushings. Part # 001559 for 1/2ton GM pickup 4wd 07-17 4"-5.5" lift rear 61" length https://www.realtruck.com/bds-leaf-springs/001559.html https://waldoch.com/store/performance/suspension/leaf-coil-springs/bds-leaf-spring-001559.html http://www.jackit.com/bds-001559.html
