I have a guy that I buy them through. I've been buying accessories with him since I had my Titan. I want to say it's about $100 for the high and low beams. Great quality stuff. I can get you hooked up if you would like!

That'd be cool man, I'll let you know. I got to go through my CFO first... LOL And see what kind of damage this hurricane does too, hopefully not too much!

theres a thread on here with some guys loving the OPT7 LED conversion. When i get some free time i was going to order a set and try them.

I've looked at those also. Not too expensive

I hear that! I keep a stash of cash on the side that I get from here and there that I finance my truck habit with haha. My CFO doesn't say much if it comes out of there. Petty cash drawer lol. Good luck with that hurricane though, stay safe.

Morimoto GMC/Silverado spec HID kits get my vote for upgrading 2014-2015 1500s. Literally a night and day difference between these and stock headlights. Costs more than other offerings but the quality of product and size of ballasts is way better. Not a simple plug and play install but doesn't require a degree in engineering to put on.

I just installed opt7 low beams and high beams on my 2014 DC with reflector housings and I could not be happier with the light output

Did you post pictures somewhere? I'd be interested in seeing them.

Here's mine with LED replacement bulbs in stock housings. I eventually want to upgrade to projectors, but these work for now. You'll have to aim the headlights a little lower so you don't blind people, but they're definitely an improvment over stock. The pic of them shining down the street is with just the low beam bulbs on.

usually with LEDs you need to leave the back headlight cover off to allow for cooling... were you able to keep the covers on or did you completely remove them?

I would be hesitant to put led or HID in a regular housing and not a projector housing. While aiming down may help you have to realize you are already in a taller truck and will blind the piss out of oncoming traffic. It's dangerous and can also get you a ticket. Not worth it. Save the money and make the proper purchase the first time around

I was able to get them back on. I'm sure they're just circulating hot air around in there, but so far so good. I've taken a few 2 hour trips with them on, and they're still kicking.
