That looks great! I think I may give them a try this winter.

does look great... ill be doing katzkin on mine as well

but.. careful installing in winter... that leather is going to be cold, stiff and hard to work with... unless you have a heated garage that you can crank up the temp in... or pull the seats and do it inside

Looks great. I went the same route on my midnight. I ordered the matched black leather to replace LT trim cloth. $550 to the door and 11 hours of casual install in the living room while watching tv. I've been really impressed with the quality and fit for 200 more than good seat covers.

Did the shop happen to save you your old leather covers? You might be able to hook someone up with those.

Yup I will probably throw on eBay or craigslist

Very reasonable installed - Did the same in my 2007.5 and it held up well for 10 years........ I like how they can custom embroider anything you like - had them match the pin-striping.........

What cleaner/conditioner did you use on your katzkin to keep it looking new?

I just wish Katzkin made a matching center console lid. They send the seat bottom seat back and console lid for bench seat trucks which seems like a waist for all the people installing in bucket seat trucks. They should take that material they use for the middle bench and make a center console lid for bucket seat trucks. It isn't like these interiors are made in advance and sit on shelves and are made to be used for bucket or bench trucks. Most Katzkin kits are made to order so I figure it would cost them less to make a console lid and not make the middle bench pieces that are not needed.

I found a upholstery shop that is going to use the middle bench bottom and seat back pieces to recover my console lid for $125.

I didn't think it would be all that? But it looks Really Nice I am impressed! What about the vented seats is that a problem?

For the ac seats they need to use reticulated foam which is extra $200 and obviously perforated center of the seat which I think was $150 extra. If I didn't have AC seats or perforated inserts total would have been 1450 installed. If I went with the lower leather content options std was 1050 installed or mid level 1250 installed. I decided if I am replacing the junk factory leather and I have to get the special foam($200) and perforated inserts($150) and wanted 2 tone so it wouldn't look like the stock pattern might as well go all the way with all Leather. No regrets after I picked it up. I wish I did this when I first bought the truck it is the best mod to my truck after the lift.

    • I am sorry if this was misleading. That was a document attached to our most recent work order number (Doc# 7105804) that summarized all the current updates. These programs were ‘redone’ in the past but these versions dated 4/1/2016 were the ones that actually made all of the problems disappear. These programs were relayed to the dealer from the technical services group at GM. Here is the exact wording on the last work order:   “Front view camera reprogramming with SPS. A new version of FCM software was released to the service dept. In addition to providing general robustness and stability enhancements, this update includes all enhancements from previous software version releases. SPS camera and calibrate camera. OLH to perform extended camera relearn procedure after camera calibration. Would not take with first GDS learn. Front camera SPS – BDYZ333157450 GDS2 – camera road calibration performed 2810835 Front view camera reprogramming with SPS LT 0.6 OLH – extended camera relearn procedure OLH LT 1.5”   I got the truck back on 4/8 – since that time it has been great no problems whatsoever. The lane keep assist, active cruise control and AEB all work very well around town and at highway speeds up to 80mph. During this time I had been away for a week and purposely let the battery sit without a batter tender. Even with the battery a bit lower there were no problems exhibited. I really think this one has it fixed after dealing with these issues over a couple of years. These new programs and relearn process when completed seem to make all the parts (and newer replacement parts) ‘talk’ to each other without any glitches. Hope this helps
    • I turned 72 today. My day began with a trip to the pharmacy to pickup meds for me and the dog and then a stop at my chiropractor before heading home. Once home I started the job of replacing the rear brake pads and one rotor on our 2018 Silverado which will probably end up taking me 3 days to finish, gotta pace myself you know. Sometimes I question myself on why I still do most of my own repairs but if I wasn't then it's more than likely I would be sitting in front of the TV all day. It seems like the list of things I need to do gets longer no matter what I accomplish. I'm not complaining but being retired was so much easier when I was 62.   Peace
    • google "bathub failure curve". Basically, any part of the vehicle can fail at any time.  It starts off as being more likely (early failure), then the failure rate goes down (but does not go to zero), then it goes up over time because it wears/ages out.
    • I went from every other day to about once in five since the rain abated. I'm not unhappy about that. Took most of the month for the ditches to dry enough to mow.
    • Good for you and her!   Lots of brushing and grooming to be done
