Need Halogen Headlight Bulb Opinion

I know there are a TON of threads on here about upgrading headlights but this one is a little different. Here is the story:

 

My father wants to change the bulbs in his 2014 Silverado LT (non-projectors). He is NOT interested in LED or HID. He also doesn't like the "bluish" look of xenon-type bulbs. So basically he is just looking for halogen bulbs that will give him a better light than the factory ones. I have narrowed it down to 2 options for him:

 

Philips X-treme Vision

I don't really want this topic to go off about "you should do this or that" since there are already other threads about headlight upgrades. I am just looking for anybody with honest experience/reviews comparing these 2 bulbs.

On my old 96 Tahoe,, installed Sylvania Halogen's for Low and High beams as well as turn-sig's..

They were (at the time) much cheaper than Philips and no issues on installation..

 

When I rewired Low to work with High units,, light was a bit intense, but easy to see road critters and deer...

I currently am using Philips 9012CVB2 CrystalVision Ultra Upgrade Headlight Bulb. It is not blue tint as the bulb shows, just way more white. They are 100% better than stock lights I promise, but not the best out there. It looks like the xtreme vision is better and I might try those next.

i tried the sylvannia ultra bulbs and while they are better than stock i found that they dont last long i do alot of night driving and those bulbs wouldnt last more than 6 months, got sick of replacing them and went to hids

I have the Phillips crystal vision Ultra bulbs in mine, they arent a night and day difference but there is def more light output and its not blue.

I will go to HID at some point but i dont do much night driving so these are fine for now.

Thanks for the replies. The "Ultra" bulbs from both manufacturers have a shorter lifespan than the Philips X-treme and Sylvania Silverstars. That's why he is interested in the "non-Ultra" versions.

Although I went the LED route in my truck, PIAA bulbs have been my go-to bulb prior. My dad has them in his Silverado too, and really enjoys them. They can be pricey, but worth it IMO.

You can also try LED bulbs, those have a lot of life span.I know you said he doesnt want to try but for light output and life span, cant beat LED.

You can get them at 4300k so that they stay warm yellow and not white/blue.

Had Crystal Visions on my 2011 LML and they were better than stock. Like previous poster stated not night and day difference but worthwhile nonetheless.
