Empty trucks (nothing in bed) are going to have spring noise as that's the lightest part of the truck unload. First time I recall was a 1987 Silverado so this is a common complain. Those that use a truck for whats its designed for, carrying loads don't experience this.  But with trucks being a status symbol these days more and more are never hauling anything.

Tried that, didn't work for  for mine and it skuffs the heck out of your leafs.

those pepboys style spring camps need a little tack or spot weld to the leaf spring to make them function correctly, just clamping them on will work for awhile, but the springs are tapered and eventually they will get loose. the small weld will hold it in place, just dont get crazy and weld a fat bead across the leaf, this will kill the metalurgy in the spring

Leaves marks all over them where they rub. Guess it doesn't matter if you leave them on but I didnt.

did you put a little tackweld on them so they didnt move?

No....not going to do anything that permanent for warranty purposes. They have had mine for 3 weeks trying to figure out how to fix multiple issues.

Take it to a different dealer, you will never get anywhere with them if thats their attitude about it.

I’m gonna try the inner tube trick this weekend

How did it work out with the inner tube?

Tubes work, but the key is in how you cut them and where you place them as the leaf springs not only move up/down, but side to side as well. This movement could push them out, but when they stay in it fully cuts out the clunking noise.

Just did the rubber trick on my 2019 GMC Canyon and it worked great and simple as well took about 20 minutes. Jacked up the rear of the truck so springs would not be engaged, removed wheels (you could do it with wheels on but much easier with them off), spread individual leaves with pry bar and spray dirt out with hose, I then cut 6" long pieces of EDPM (rubber) roofing doubled them up and slid in between each leaf just in front of the factory plastic shim in 4 locations, 2 at the front of the leaf and 2 at the rear of the leaf. 100% of the noise is gone. It will be interesting to see if it comes back as the rubber wears or if the rubber holds up.

2017 half ton and I have the noise. I thought it was the spare wheel so took it off it's mount but still have the noise. Checked every mount and bushing and all is fine. Only 25 k and bought new. Going to call the dealer to see what they say and may try the rubber trick but really?? Sounds like a design issue. If it never gets worse I could live with it but why should I? This forum is great ,thanks
