My 2008 LTZ crew cab. The rear doors will lock with key fob and all door buttons. The rear doors only will not unlock electronicly at all, but lock no problem, any ideas, sucks having to reach back Every time to get kid in back car seat. I have been resarching alot and says relays? But I can't find where they are

Maybe, particularly if this is a vehicle you are going to keep for some time, get a subscription to the full-service manual for your truck at alldatadiy.com  Not particularly expensive ($50/5 years), and it has information like where relays are, wiring diagrams, as well as how to go about diagnosing your problem.

Been using AllDataDIY for years, worth every penny.  A Tech2 would be handy here, you have some kind of problem it seems with your Remote Control Door Lock Receiver.

I wasn't a big fan of the DIY version of Alldata ... but it's better than nothing. Always seemed to NOT have the info I needed when I needed it, but I was more of what I guess you could say an "extreme DIY'er".

Anyway, it's not a relay - if it was,  it wouldn't work AT ALL. Pull the door panel and check the power/ground to the lock solenoid in both directions. More than likely  you've got a switch problem, but it could be the solenoid itself, or wiring, or a BCM problem. That's why you've got to test & troubleshoot. Things will get VERY expensive if you load up the parts cannon and give it a blast ...

So you are saying alldatadiy doesn't have the FSM?  I can't personally say one way or the other, as I bought the paper FSM for my truck, but most people find them to be too expensive...

I couldn't tell you about now, but back in '08 when I tried it, it lacked valuable troubleshooting info - everything I needed kept directing me to "upgrade your account to ..." Alldata Pro. I bought the DIY because everyone on the net said it was great. I hated it. It did help me fix quite a few problems, however. Just not ALL my problems.

I was driving trucks at the time, so the cost for Pro was not worth the return. Even now the cost isn't worth it to me - I just don't have the volume to justify it. If I were to spend the money, I'd get Identifix anyway.

Just for the record, I HATE GM's service manuals, at least the one I have for my '07 - they always have you jumping around from chapter to chapter, book to book, no matter what you're trying to fix. The most annoying thing I've ever seen. "for more information, see chapter 9, [in book 3] page 469 for xxx ..." .... then you get there, and it says, "see chapter 4 [in book 1 ....]"

I just want to find the info and fix the damn problem!!
