I bought one of the outlaw style systems yesterday for $309 and today they cancelled my order because it was "out of stock". Ironically, Auto Anything's eBay site lists 10+ in stock.

This is the second time that I've lumped a few add on's to an order from them, only to have the main portion of the order to get cancelled because it was not in stock.

Looks like the black tip tru system is up to $386 now. The price swings on this system are crazy.

I wonder if they cancelled my order because they didn't want to honor the price I was charged.

probably. you should do the online chat and ask them why it was cancelled.

I emailed them with the ebay listing that shows them in stock. I anticipate they'll say that is inaccurate like they told me last time this happened. Some say they have good customer service, but I've yet to experience it.

Interesting you've had such issue. They have always been pretty helpful on my end, or at least answered the questions I've asked and such.

So quick update. I received the kit while I was on a business trip and tried to install it quickly today. As usual nothing went smoothly. V-clamp that connects the cat to the exhaust bolt was rusted good. Hit it with PB but sucker wasn't going anywhere so I had to cut it off and buy a new one. Haven't had the truck 2 years yet and already shits rusting together. New England.

I started to install but holy shit do the directions leave something to be desired. Would have loved larger pictures and some more clear instructions on how to install the clamps. No idea where the placement should be (middle of the overlap, towards the back or front?) I thought I had it torqued down solid but when I was trying to get the tips on the pipes came out of the muffler. Guess not.

Also, had no ****ing clue what those hanger keeper things were (the crazy washers) until I got to the end. They were all together as part of the bolt for the new rear hanger so I assumed they were sort of lock washers. Barely got the thing on and together and towards the end realized what they were. Good thing I didn't torque it down crazy hard. Hopefully they can be saved.

Gonna wrap it up tomorrow but so far this has been a much larger chore than I had imagined. One tip for anyone that buys this, if you're doing it alone I recommend doing the muffler after you've got the rear pipes hanging. That way the muffler is supported while you're torquing everything down. I had that brilliant idea at the beginning, unlike some of the other brilliant ideas I had during this install.

Kind of embarrassing truth be told. I installed many truck parts in the past and lifted my previous jeep myself, would have thought this would be a walk in the park.

Penguin.... what hanger keepers are you talking about and what did you do with them? I unboxed my exhaust today and there were two rectangular pieces of metal in there which are not mentioned in the directions anywhere... is that what you meant? What did you do with them?

I had two square pieces with holes directly in the center. If that's what you are talking about then no, those are not hanger keepers. Those are plates designed to be sandwiched between the frame so that the new hanger doesn't pull through.

If you're looking at the rear of the truck the hanger should point inward with the mounting plate flush on the frame side. Diagram below:

Bolt head - Washer - Hanger - Plate - Frame - Plate - Crush Washer - Nut

Those "hanger keepers" are to make sure the exhaust stays on, as the new kit doesn't have any locking end, it's just a straight pipe. Install instructions are here(https://legatoperformance.com/blogs/news/tech-tip-hanger-keeper-retention).

I may have ruined the hanger keepers so I'll have to pray to god they are easily available elsewhere.

I got the exhaust installed. I took the factory system out in one piece no problem. The truxp/Gibson system went in pretty easily with the exception of the mid pipe connection at the cat. I cannot get a good seal there, and it leaks slightly at seam of that clamp no matter what I do. You can't hear the leak at all, but I don't know what to do about it.

As for sound, it so it not as deep as the 18" magnaflow muffler I had on my 2010 but does sound decent. I'll get a video maybe tomorrow of the sound.

I guess I'll try a muffler shop and see if they can get it to seal up at the cat. It's prob not good to let the leak go but since I can't hear the leak maybe it doesn't matter?

How do you know it leaks? Were you watching underneath? I got mine bolted pretty tight there but didn't check for leaks. Didn't hear anything but considering the exhaust is so loud perhaps thats why.

Yea I crawled under and felt around the joints with my hand and I could feel the air coming out right at the joint of the ball flange clamp. I moved it a few times and it always leaks right at the seam of the clamp no matter what i did
