Oem wireless charging for not equipped Silverado?

I have a 2015 Silverado.  Is it possible to take a non factory equipped wireless charging and put an OEM factory wireless charger. I know I need to change the center console lid and is there a wire harness that I need to get to plug in somewhere else? Is it at all possible to put in a oem faotory wireless charger? Any help with this  would be appreciated. Thanks

I’m in my 3rd Sierra with this feature.  iPhones, currently I have the 8.

 

I was told by someone (don’t even recall who) that I need a special case to make it work.  

 

Ive never been able to use it.  That is where phone sits though when driving though.  

 

Just check this out before you you spend the money and time making the swap.

I don't have it on my 14 but my buddy does on his 16 and my Motorola Turbo charges just fine.

I have a S8 and that wireless charging port does not work well. It is slow as balls too!  I plug it in to charge.

So far i repined the harness that goes to wireless charger with the new connector, verified that the center console harness P/n:23211330 that comes with the 2014/2015 center consoles did not have the connector provision for the wireless charger. I planned on replacing the center console harness with the harness listed above but found out that its on a national back order with no eta. So once i receive the last piece i ordered, i plan on making a new harness. I'm going to splice into the rear 12v plug and run it to the charger module. 

 

 

 

So i purchased all that with the exception of the Center console harness, being that i ordered the connector and pins to make my own harness to reach from the rear 12v of the console to wireless charger module this 12v is on the a rap circuit which allows the charger to turn off when i turn off the vehicle.

I never use the wireless in my truck because I am always using apple car play and using the phone for nav as needed so I have it mounted on the dash while I drive...

I'd spend the money on something else. The rate of wireless charging is much slower than the rate of wired quick charging,. You also have to keep your phone on the console, obviously, and if you pick it up it stops charging. I personally check my phone when I stop and have the opportunity and with the amount of stopping and checking, it would never get a good charge. If you're using Car Play or Android Auto you need to plug it in anyways. By the time you get the parts together, you'll either have a new phone that doesn't support wireless charging or there will be a new wireless charging standard which makes the old one obsolete. My old phone supported it, I used it once and never did again. It got much hotter than wired charging and it's hot enough here in Florida.

As long as you get the 18 charging module it works great. Charges my s8 fairly fast if i pull it out of the case

I have a 2018 Silverado 1500 WT regular cab, which did not come from the factory with wireless charging, and wanting to add it.

 

I've been over a number of threads regarding, though most are previous models, extended or crew cabs, or are related to switching to the newer module.

 

My problem is this. I purchased the 2018-up charging module, pulled the backing off my console lid, and not only will the module not physically bolt to the console lid, but the backing also won't fit with the module in place.

 

So, I tried to find a replacement console lid assembly, with the charging option, but can't seem to find a part number for a dark grey one.

 

Any ideas?
