Child seats in Sierra CC

Recommended Posts

So I'm close to pulling trigger on a Sierra Cc this week.  I have 2 kids one forward facing seat and one rear facing.  I am tall and like my seat all the way back. Can this still be achieved with the car seats installed?

I have two forward facing, but my situation is different from yours. Although a pain, id take the seat you have a concern with and try it out. I propped mine at the dealers just to see. Good luck. My cc is fairly spacious.

Really not an option as I am flying out of town to get the truck.  Can you move your seat all the way back with forward facing?

6'7" here and I can't fit a rear facing seat behind me comfortably. Forward is fine.

The driver side seat goes back further than the passenger seat. I have power seats. Not sure if the manual ones are different.

You can put the rear facing on the passenger side and the forward facing on the driver's side.

Here is a photo of the driver's side all the way back with a front facing seat.

My daughter is young so the car seat is reclined but if your kid is older and you can have it upright more, then you'll gain a couple more inches. I think you'll be fine. Just be prepared to have an added seat massaging feature from all the kicking, something the F150 platinum comes with standard. ?

Is she kicking the back of your seat the entire time? Looks tight.

I have the seat 6" forward normally. That photo was just an example for the OP to see how much room with the seat fully back.

There is enough room for a rear-facing seat behind me and I'm 6' 3", we have it in the middle since we only have one kiddo, but just looking it is fine.  It's one of the larger seats apparently since I had issues getting it in my Audi and other did not.  There is more room back there than almost all full sized cars around, it fits four 6'+ guys comfortably on our frequent lunch outings.

Middle doesn’t count lol. I have a rear facing seat in my double cab. The truck is so damn wide that the car seat can squeeze between the two front seats

Yeah with a double cab more than one would not work, I was surprised how tight it was back there, it looked bigger from the outside.  That was the deal breaker for me since we plan to have at least one more in the next year or two.  I was saying it would fit behind all three of the seats just by looking in mine.

OP, how tall are you?  These seats go way back, I tried it and it's a stretch for the pedals!  Of course I'm taller than the wife and she likes the seat a slightly further back than me (I tell her she ghetto rides), so everyone's a bit different!

I was surprised how much smaller my cc rear seat was compared to my previous f150’s. I think I read that the 19s will be bigger.
