Low 14’s

 

The front bumper of the rcsb would pretty much be at the back bumper of a 6.2 CC

 

The ford would be 2-3 trucks ahead of the 6.2 CC

I have a 15 rcsb on E 85 which Gm claims 385 hp for 5.3. Weighed mine several times with half tank of fuel and tonneau cover ...4900 lbs. Ford rcsb would tip scale at about 4,450lb . Can run very close but 3;;42 gearing is not my friend here  and going to go 4::10 eventually which will be a good equalizer. 6.2 from GM only available in heavier truck configuration which does it no favors against rcsb from either mfg. Ford 395 hp. 4400 lb vs. GM 425 hp at 5,500 lb. GM 5.3 on E85 385 at 4900 lb. Power to weight don't lie if gearing equal.

I bought a truck for comfort and utility. If I wanted speed, I'd put a supercharger on it or get a light weight car with powerful motor.

I agree completely ! I am on my 4th truck in this platform and they suck for comfort. The seats are horrible. The ride has just been way too tight. I did just drive a 2018 crew cab 1500 Sierra and the suspension was really nice, compliant and improved. Curious to see the new truck but after seeing Ram I think GM came up short again. The 3 areas that MUST be greatly improved for me to ever buy again will be:  1. Seat comfort 2. suspension compliance and comfort, 3. HVAC system improvements and noise level. 

 

The seats and rough suspension ruin the entire owner experience daily. HVAC is ridiculously loud on recirculate. A great truck in so many other areas, a real shame.

Anybody who says that has not owned a highly modified vehicle.

 

Try one with a built motor, trans, suspension, brakes, etc etc etc.

 

get back to me 3 years later and tell me buying fast from the factory is not better

if i read the numbers right the ford is 500lbs lighter or more so it should win in a drag race. But when the time comes to do what a truck should do it may not be up to the same task as the GM. Good for ford making products people want to buy.
