Rear Block Question

Recommended Posts

Posted

I’m going to be lifting the front of my Sierra by 2.5” with the Eibach pro truck lift and would like to add 1” of total lift in the rear.

My understanding is a 2” rear block will result in a 1” rear lift.

Anybody have any suggestions for 2” rear block/u-bolt kits? Couldn’t find a clear answer as to whether a tapered block is better than non-tapered.

Motofab a decent kit? I’ve got some Amazon cash to blow and Motofab appears to get good reviews.

Thanks in advance!!!!

I have the MotoFab 3/2 kit and I haven’t had any issues as of yet. I believe since it replaces the factory rear block then you get 1” less than the block. With the 3/2 kit I still have roughly an inch of rake on my 15 Silverado. Hope this helps. Couldn’t beat the price point either on Amazon.

I’ve got a lot of amazon cash right now so that is probably the direction I go.

This look like the blocks you installed?

You don’t need the tapered block for a 2”. I used the rough country block and I bolts. Nice stuff. I know they get a bad name.

Yes sir those look exactly like them. I just got the full kit that came with the front spacers and rear blocks. Pretty easy straight forward install.

Yup I have the RC front spacer currently. If I could find the RC blocks on amazon I’d go with them. Not much science to what the blocks are but your post just proved my confusion. Sounds like at 2” tapered and non tapered works.

I'm going add a leaf when I do mine.  Or if I went the block way it would be non tapered for the 2".  You think about it your only going up like 3/4".  Taper wouldn't be necessary.
