3.5-4.5" lift

Just to let you know, I leveled my new 2018 Silverado with the Fox 2.0 coilovers and installed Reklez UCA's . The Fox coilovers are preset for 2" of lift. I'm running a 20x9 '0' offset wheel with 285/60/R20  Toyo Open Country RT tires and I'm rubbing like a bitch on the front inner fender. I've zip tied them back and it helped but I plan to install a top spacer on my coilovers to get another 1/2".

So I would be very surprised if you can fit a 295/60 with spacers on the stock wheels.

I guess I’m confused on what makes the most sense to choose first.... tire size or lift size.

Just had a 4" BDS with Fox 2.0 installed on my 18 Silverado LT Z71 using factory GMC 20s with 295 60r20 (34x11.5ish) Nittos.  I needed a 1/4 inch spacer in the front because of the factory rim backspace.  I decided not to run spacers in the rear (small difference in front and rear "stance").  Very small amount of trimming to front valance only.  I don't think that I could have run anything taller or wider than the 296 60s without significantly more trimming and cutting and/or thinker spacers because of the factory rim backspace.  I like how It turned out however.  I really wanted to beef up the "factory" look.

Here is the finished product. 4" Fabtech lift with Zone add a leaf, 33x12.50R20983b1b65215d2a77e175a4446ea55a72.jpg31efb43371952e0048fa2847e490c750.jpg586da0c2a3dc8e674cb10bba484efec8.jpg

That looks good too. Wonder if you can use stock wheels with it..
I don't recall anything on Fabtechs website about not being able to use factory wheels. It turned out nice, everything aligned properly and I don't think my angles are that bad. Time will tell how things hold up but I am happy with it so far.

thanks !! Part of this comes down to if I even keep the truck. I've got the chevy shake, transmission sounds horrible, and steering is way off. I'm taking it in next week and we'll go form there

Clearance to the tire, or the wheel itself?

According to the shop doing the install, "the factory 20x9 wheel has a +27mm offset (roughly 6.06" backspacing). The most backspacing that can be used with a 20" wheel in this system [BDS 4inch suspension] is 5.75"....otherwise the inside lip of the wheel and inside bulge of the tire can come in contact with the upper control arm/ball joint area."

Hope this helps.

For follow up, anyone else searching for this info. Wheel itself clears fine on stock 20's. Tire sidewall is close to the ball joint area of UCA, but clears fine.

Zone 4.5 installed, 275/60/20 tires for now until they wear out (had them from level). Bilstein 5100 stock notch, fox 2.0 in rear. No spacers needed, but have 1" in rear for track width matching (not quite even, but a compromise between visual match and too far out from fender). 2017 sierra, stamped UCA's.

Background, I have a 2017 GMC Sierra 4wd with Stamped upper control arms.

I used to have the 2.5" rough country kit on my truck, and now I have the 3.5" Superlift kit on my truck.

Thoughts on RC 2.5", it's a good budget kit that I've used on a few different truck over the years.  The stamped steel kit is a little more difficult since you have to use a spring compressor, but my buddy had 1 that I borrowed, so no big deal.

Thoughts on Superlift 3.5", I really like this kit on my truck, but I did only get 3" of lift over stock.  The main reason I went with this kit is to gain some extra height to clear my 10" wide wheels.  This kit did give me the additional height I needed, so I'm happy.  The kit rides the same as the 2.5" lift IMO, and it got rid of the stupid stamped steel upper control arms.  I did install Bilstein 5100 front shocks at the same time, but they are at the factory height.

FYI, if you run factory 20" wheels with any tire size bigger than stock with a lift, you will need a spacer so that you don't rub on the control arms.  The Stamped control arms are flat and wide, so they are not very big tire friendly while turning full lock.

I do have my complete RC 2.5" Level lift for sale if you're interested, $110 shipped and paypal'd.  Also I have a set of 1/4" hubcentric spacers that I used when I had factory wheels to prevent some rub.

Is your truck level? I’ve read some reviews saying it wasn’t level after the lift was I stalled. Any chance we can get some pictures?

Apparently I spoke too soon. I found no tire contact at full lock, but noticed today that at approximately 1/4 - 1/3 turn off the wheels the tire sidewall makes contact with the ball joint area of the UCA. Very very light.

Not sure how I'm going to resolve it at this point. Don't want 1/4" spacer, don't want a full 1" spacer either... Guess I'll be looking for new wheels and seeing how much I can get for the stock ones.

For which lift?  The 2.5 RC or 3.5 Superlift?

Probably more expensive than the other options, but yes. Hadn't thought of that yet.
