I have a 2015 GMC 2500 HD

I have horn issues. I was working then it started to weaken...then it stopped working. Now it started to work again but very weak. The dealership said it would cost me an undisclosed amount because they are not sure what the problem is. I've read several complaints about this issue on the forum's and find it hard to believe that they have not heard of this issue.....that is what they told me. Ant advice would be great.

Thanks

get a new one... or a train horn

Or both!!  I put a train horn on with its own button in the center console and an airhorn up front behind the front bumper that is activated by the steering wheel pad.  Both are connected up to my onboard air tank.   One benefit is the if the alarm goes off, it is loud!

Some idiot with a train horn in their truck got his truck impounded when he used it and a police officer saw it.  And rightfully so.

Sounds a bit drastic

I agree. Train horn videos are some of my favorite on YouTube. Guess some of us just have a petty sense of humor!

I remember one time I armed my truck and it honks the horn, then my wife armed her Equinox(2015), and the horn sounded twice as loud as my truck. I looked at her and was like, wtf?? She just laughs and said my trucks horn sounded cute... [emoji23][emoji1787] I really need to upgrade my trucks horn... [emoji848]

It's only funny to the losers who are honking.

Did some LOSER honk at you and make you bang your head? You sound a bit angry and judgmental!

Bitter?  yes.  Why?  They scared the hell out of my dear sweet old widowed mother who was minding her business a few years ago while on a walk.  Startled her so much she fell and broke her ankle.

I have a 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD and the horn quit working.  You don't think about it much until you don't have one - but it's kind of a safety issue.  It looks like this is an ongoing issue.  Any new info on possible fixes or cost of repair?
