Never mind I figured it out thanks. 

What brand is your HUD windshield? Where did you purchase it and was easy to get?Having trouble finding one for mine, that's the only thing stopping me from doing the mod. Also how much was it if you dont mind. Thanks!

I am looking hard at this. But I know there has to be a way you save the defroster vent. You guys have contributed so much, I guess this will be my contribution. My first thought is cutting out the section at the hud projector, then modifying a patch between the two openings that dips below the hud projector or multiple paths around the projector. I am able to 3d print in an area 500mm x500mm x 500mm.

The suburban heads up display projector is thinner I wonder if it's functionally similiar. Seems like you could use the speaker bezel from one of the vehicles.

I am having no luck proving an SUV windshield will work in a truck using GM part numbers. Even if I look at NO HUD windshields the vehicle fitments only list SUV and the truck windshields only list trucks.

 

If the truck and SUV windshields are truly interchangeable I will ask for an OEM windshield for a 2017 Tahoe with heads up display.  The camera bracket (lane departure/assist) p/n is the same for a 2017 tahoe and silverado. But the cameras are not the same.

This will probably be my next project. Installed the intellihaul cameras. I think I'm ready to tackle this project next.

I bought the intelli-haul through my local dealer and had them install it.
I have the tow mirror cams, front cam, bed cam and a remote trailer cam.
Works great! Turn signals show the tow mirror cam when used.
I did a video a while ago demonstrating this.

The HUD reflection will show up on the regular windshield. It will be a little blurry and show double information. But it will work. The tint on the lower part of the windshield will solve that problem.

@Todd1982youre a genius!!! I never did that on my 2018 High Country when I did the retrofit however did combine a Silverado & Tahoe cluster hood to make my own and had it wrapped in Saddle Brown! Here are two of the many pics I took I will try and upload more
