Inch of rain so far today, and still raining hard. Happened to be driving by the dealer. Said no way they left it outside.....with a sign on the window that says "MUST STAY INSIDE"

I keep reminding myself to be grateful for two healthy children and a roof over my head.

Hey Tiger won big at the Masters today.5c2464c9519b0b29b77f7d2e01384bc8.jpg

Wow. The level of incompetence never ceases to amaze me. You've got pictures, proof, that they've left it outside knowingly with a water leak. Your case just gets stronger.

Did I mention I test drove a 2500 Denali HD yesterday? They could turn me into a really happy customer if they wanted to.....

It looks like they applied three times more BLACK sealant to the rear window. Surprised to see it wasn't leaking inside. So it was likely left outside to see it leaked again?b199029aa5e9b9cffb1d5d04f9879767.jpgd65c50cb2174d0a39b574e0986cbf5c4.jpg4139959b1e4a962aa5fad9ad3469bcc6.jpgc972edb504fa7e97472053d130532c4f.jpg

I don't know how you are keeping your cool.  I would be close to getting physical with somebody at this point!

I don’t like seeing that pointed screwdriver tucked in the seat.  I definitely would have moved that.   I just cant believe they just don’t pull the window and change it out. I would be tempted to buy the window myself at this point.   You have been thru hell, and I don’t know if I could be as calm and objective as you are now.

Hope everything works out.

Here we go again. Smell still not gone. Urethane sealant was barely cleaned off the rear glass. Trim pieces sitting over the rubber seals instead of under. The rear seat rail cover is damaged slightly. And to top it off, they washed my truck, probably with dirty sponges, and put swirl marks all over the paint. Now they want to try another deodorizer treatment from a specialist. My case has been assigned to a senior advisor, but she has yet to call me. Was involved with the manager at the dealership this time. He was on the phone with the area GM rep. Oh, and dirty boot prints on my mat.1940fdd1a2ed367f8535bffe878d7c7d.jpgcd2e77bb8eb841da1a63a04a97b6893f.jpg8973c30626937b6e073820191badf8c5.jpg84c2c6a817e04af38a14a992573b1fd1.jpg69001031d84f41d3f6e45396cc155c62.jpgbf1855106757356eae4d9daa4430d142.jpg

White, check the trim really good and have them replace anything scratched. Did your carpet get replaced or did they just sanitize it? Seems it would be cheaper to replace the carpet then clean it again.

Should tell them to put a no wash note on your account. I have one at my dealership. Maybe GM will pay for a paint correction / ceramic coating install to correct that wash.

They replaced the rear carpet, shampooed the fronts, and did a deodorizer treatment. Didn't work at all. Smell just as bad as always. They're calling a specialist for another deodorizer treatment, as per GM, and will be fixing the swirls in the paint. Still waiting on my senior advisor call from GM.

Also know that the GM senior advisor doesn't really do much more than document your concerns, try to make you feel better, and tell you they are going to email the district rep on your behalf.

In my experience so far it would appear internally the district rep is the one that has the power to authorize something above the normal repair procedure at the dealership. I.e. replace carpets/seats/buy back/ extended warranty, etc.

I have been requesting for two weeks an in person meeting with the regional district rep but it's like trying to get in touch with a person that doesn't really exist.

I really don't know. I have to look closer at the paperwork. I wasn't sure if carpet/padding was all one piece or not.

When I soundproofed my 16 crew cab this is what it looks like. Assuming the 19 is not much different. The back wall of cab under window has electronics, carpet pad then another rubber type pad behind seats. The floor has carpet pad then carpet. If they replaced your rear floor carpet that means they also had to remove your front seats so check everything looks good there too.

When I had my rear carpet pulled up for soundproofing it appeared to continue on under the front seats.78337c662e487dfb0732bb168aa40e5d.jpg57468871b022d013fcb9ca4f34123665.jpg

So, my LTZ has been in for this fix for 10 days now.  I usually only keep my vehicles for a couple of years so no extended warranty.  The dealer has implied that no loaner vehicle is possible.  Are you guys getting loaners because you bought an extended warranty?  Or is it just a dealer policy thing....?

The dealer gave me a new 19 crew cab lt off the lot. No extended warranty purchased.

    • Because that is IDIOTIC, much like this question. They've already been forced to do it by past administrations - why would you roll that back when it's a GOOD thing?  WHO IS ARGUING FOR LOWER MILEAGE???? 😂  NOBODY IS!!   I'm certainly not! What I want is RELIABLE vehicles again that are worth the price paid!    I don't get your logic here ...   In 2003 I paid $2,200 for our '86 Grand Marquis. It's STILL running and I've never been inside the engine, aside for the timing cover since it was leaking, so I threw a new timing set in since that makes sense. Transmission is ORIGINAL. Electric pump in the gas tank is ORIGINAL. Rear end is ORIGINAL. I'd have to hit my head REAL hard to want to pay $60k or more for a car that still can't come close to the comfort, seating and storage space, or reliability of this one. Nothing is even in the ball park! Hundreds of thousands of brands and models have been built and sent to the crusher while this one keeps on going!   https://postimg.cc/Z9XRrCSg   I've got a whole fleet of cars, motorcycles, and a truck close to this age for summer and winter. No one could pay me enough to buy anything built this century. I have zero use for any it.
    • Since I'm the one who has to fix them when they break, I'll take vehicles over 30 years old all day, EVERY day, over ANY modern crap. Have you attempted any repairs on anything built after 2006? It's a friggin nightmare, and gets worse the newer the model year.    If I had the will or desire, I can make any car of any age outside of a Model T (I don't have THAT much will ...) just as powerful, comfortable, and have all the tech the new stuff does, and get pretty close in mileage, too. I prefer SIMPLICITY. The less the vehicle has, the less to fix WHEN it breaks, not IF.   I'm glad you snot-nosed punks don't like them. More for us, plus that keeps the prices from climbing more than they already have.👍
    • Bringing this thread back on topic. I just noticed the incredible lack of bright chrome across the entire new lineup. Even the Denali has tinted the brightwork in the grille and has none elsewhere. None of them have chrome bumpers. As far as I can tell there aren't even chrome mirror caps. I'm curious if this also happens out back? Are there no chrome rear bumpers either? This is quite the departure for GMC.
