cbpagent72 Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 I just got my new Silverado LTZ and noticed the trucks no longer have Pandora[emoji31]. I also noticed that the $60,000 truck does not have automatic rain sensing windshield wipers . That kind of blows my mind considering it's pretty much standard on most cars even under 30,000.

My 15 has the pandora app I did see they dont have it now. You should still be able to stream it through your bluetooth.
DougFL Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 Pandora is available through Android Auto or Apple Car Play.
tbarn Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 Pandora is available natively through the onboard app store. WIFI required. Whether through Onstar/ATT or your phone.

ShotgunZ71 Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 There also seems to be less connectivity issues when playing Pandora through the phone on Bluetooth versus the vehicle app, as well. Not having the app on my infotainment wouldn't bother me.

The rain sense wipers have been gone a few years now. As well as the heated wiper fluid option.

Rain sense wipers are great! Enjoy them on the Tahoe and wondered why the K2's didn't have that option. Now, the T1's still don't even have that option. GM skimped way too much on the trucks this debut. Hope they add some of these things to the T1 2500s for 2020 and also put them on the 1500s.
Colossus Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 Good riddance to that. What's so hard about flipping a little switch to turn your wipers on and off when you actually need it.

Making excuses for GM, when they have had all these options on the SUVs for over 10 years, yet the trucks that cost as much or more in some cases, get the red-headed step-child treatment.
Colossus Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 Naah not making excuses for GM. I am highly critical of them if you have seen any of my posts. I just think some things are silly like rain sensing wipers and auto opening tailgates and what have ya.

It's not hard at all, and so it's great that all of the cars I've owned that have rain-sensing wipers also let you flip a little switch to turn them on and off yourself. Freedom of choice is the American way. I understand you might prefer to flip the switch yourself, but why are you rejoicing in having less freedom?

You, along with myself and several others, call GM out when they screw up or don't put effort. I just think they need to have these things as options, especially since they already use them in other vehicles across the line. Offer them in every trim? No, but they should be available in top trims. These are features that have long been available in GMs suvs and other vehicles, why shouldn't the trucks have them?
Sierra Dan Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 You will also notice.... No turn signal indicators in the side mirrors. No more power adjustable pedals even on High Country and Denali. Just to name a couple of deletions from T1 that K2 had.
K2xxSteve Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 Decontenting like this is normal on pretty much any new generation vehicle, and just a way to make the people that want the latest ride first pay a bit more. Every auto manufacturer does this, and that's not an excuse for GM, it's just reality. The content that should have been there or standard in the first place then finds its way back in during refresh or facelift years. I personally love auto-sensing wipers, just because it reduces distraction when the rain is constantly varying. I also love Adaptive Cruise control. Just got it on my Suburban and is one of the few features I regret not getting in our traded X5. Takes so much of the fatigue out of long family trips when highways have a lot of traffic. Some of this can also be considered feature micromanagement by product planners and bean counters also.
