Ok so I have tried everything listed so far air on or off vent open closed. Stereo on and off. All driving modes and  nothing stops the noise windows up down. Tape over the microphones! I can replicate it regularly now which is good.

The dealer has had me waiting for a call for weeks. I went in talked to the manger. He said to tell you the truth it could be one month or a year before they figure it out !!! Unexceptable answer. I leaned over and calmly said I got over 80k sitting out there and she whistles at me when I drive it! Your going to need to come up with a better answer! He comes back five minutes later and says the shop foreman will try and drill a hole in the valve covers new PCV set up. They believe it’s the whistle problem. So I scheduled it. The next day he calls me and says GM found the problem. A new valve cover is being shipped out!! Ok so yesterday they put it on instead of drilling a hole in mine.

It still whistles !!! WTF GM

Iam about to go on a four hour trip for Christmas. Dont really even want to take the truck this sucks.

So when I return form vacation.  The service manger and the shop foreman have agreed to go  for a long ride till some one crawls around and finds it. I will say thier customer service has been very helpful and they are trying. I will not take no wait till we figure it out for an answer!! I would andvise any one  going thro this to do the same with their local dealer. I will Let you all know when I schedule the ride next week.

Not all the 2019 trucks are doing this correct?   Most you guys have a quiet ride?

Sure hope so, quite a few people on this bandwagon :(

Thank you for this post, I was the one who asked about taping over the microphone(s) because a few of the folks were pretty sure it was ANC causing the noise. You were the only person who said that you did it with no change. This is good to know for others (me too) because it shows it’s not the ANC. My GF wants to upgrade, she loves my 2018 but is looking at the 2019. I have given her my thoughts about buying a first run (any vehicle) and to just wait a bit. So again, thank you and I hope they get you squared away soon ?.

First run new models will always have a few bugs.. Dealers have to rely on engineering to sort out some of them..
Not many engineers work at dealerships..

New unknown problems might take more time than anyone likes..
Rant if it makes you feel better.

So my 2019 sierra has this high pitch squeal as well.  Most prominent at 20-30mph while accelerator lightly depressed.  My dealer has replaced the muffler and did not resolve the issue.  Hopefully a solution from GM will come soon.  Thanks

Sounds like the GM I know.....and as a owner of a first year 2014 sadly you may have to get used  to some stuff or plan on spending days at a dealer or leave your truck with them and gamble on it's condition when you get it back.

Professional grade my azzz........

I took my truck to the dealer yesterday. The foreman and I took a cruise replicated  the noise. If I drive for a few minutes and shut the truck off, we can hear a faint whistle from the fuel tank. They kept the truck and have good direction to go. He believes it’s a pressure balance issue with the fuel tank. Their customer service has been fantastic at my local dealer!!! I will let you all know if they find a solution today!!

Update the dealer just called me they found the problem late last night. It’s a emissions valve!! GM aperantly knows about it and had not told the local dealers yet. They have ordered the replacement part it will be here Monday morning!! I will let you all know if this really fixes the problem next week when I pick it up

That's good news, yea let us know if actually solves the issue after you pick it up.  On mine, the GM folks had advised to replace the muffler which didn't solve the issue.  Thanks!

I have this issue as well. Occurs at most any speed above 40mph. If I accelerate or decelerate it goes away. It’s not the ANC. It is more noticeable if the windows are down and I’m driving down a small road with buildings. The reverb really makes it obvious. Radio on or off, blue tooth on or off, tape over speakers or not, it just does it all the time. Dealership couldn’t find an issue last week, but kept it all day and admitted they could hear the noise. They had no idea what the issue was at that time. Hope the emissions cable turns out to be the fix so I can tell my dealer. If not this might be the first and last GMC I own and the shortest time I own a vehicle. My 5 hour one way Christmas trip nearly made me go insane.
