The best lift for my Silverado

Just looked up the cst installation instructions. Requires trimming of the lower control arm pocket, and all of the UCA mounting points. 
 
Instructions also include removal of a bracket from the front crossmember, as well as drilling several holes in it. 
 
This all looks very similar to many other types of lifts I looked at when I was making my decision. 
 
Not trying to instigate anything, but I think saying that cst is easily reversible is not quite true. While there is no differential modification, you are certainly modifying enough that simply taking off the lift would be no small task. 
 
OP: there are a great many people running all of these lifts with great success. CST, BDS and Zone all make a great product, but each has pros and cons.

I don’t recall anything other than simple trimming but that being said, all the other lifts you’ve mentioned cut large sections out of the front cross member destroying any chance of running it back to stock. CST has very minimal weld back on PCs and other than that how about the cost to replace a chopped up differential along with ruining front width track and turning radius. Aside of that, the ProComp would be my favorite just cause 4wheelparts is not to far away and I don’t have to call to speak with tech support. My experience only with stock shocks, Bilstein and Fox, the CST CoilOvers are in a class above in a much more pleasant ride. Good luck to the OP or anyone for that matter, making a decision of alterations to a vehicle is stressful.

Corey’s truck (on the right) is a CST 4.5” on 33” Toyo AT2s and 22x12 Welds. No cutting, no trimming. Front resi’s turned up slightly.

If it’s CST you’re asking about, call them to ask. Mine was minimal without large sections being cut off the CrossMember, Zero cutting of the differential. Call just to make sure. You can go ProComp with lifetime warranty as well and have excellent on spot lift expert checkout your truck with zero needed on phone tech support only if you’ve got a 4wheelparts near by. The quality and finish of a CST lift is second to none.

I think he means cutting /trimming for tire clearance, not the lift, in this case.

He’s asking about cutting or trimming of the wheel openings in order to run the 12” wide wheels. You wouldn’t have any trimming to yours since your only running a 9” wheel.

he didn't have to cut or trim anything, but he also has the CST adjustable resi coilovers and he adjusted it up about 1". I have the bilstein 5100's and i'm adjusted up 1.25" and i sit a tad higher than him and i don't rub either with no trimming on 33's with 22x10's and a 1.5" wider track width. So with a Zone you can clear x10s with no rubbing and with the cst you can clear x12's with no rubbing. Again, we are but adjusted up in the ballpark of 1"

here's the install instructions of the kit and while it's true there is no cutting to the front diff, there is a little more frame cutting than some would lead you to believe. It also isn't just a snap of your fingers to return to stock, it definitely would require some (maybe a little more than some) welding. There are parts of the truck that need to be cut off for the CST kit that DO NOT need to be cut off for other kits (knuckle kits such as zone, bds, fabtech, fts, and so on). CST is an excellent choice, but so are BDS, Zone, FTS, Cognito, Fabtech, Procomp and others lol. CST is definitely not the be all end all of lift kits lol. It’s not some magic kit that cures any and all potential issues lol. All have their pros and cons but for the most part there isn't a "bad" choice.

I definitely try not to, but it gets dirty when i drive out to the range (in the middle of the pine barrens), and Corey just posted pics of his out in a field chopping wood.

 

I don’t own the truck to get it muddy though, i bought it to get me to work no matter the weather and to haul stuff for my house.

Just saw what you said, It would definitely take work to return the cst to stock. Probably about as much as any other kit.

Just my 2 cents. To be honest I went a cheap route in which i am very happy with. I installed a 3 inch frt and 1 inch rear motofab leveling kit and installed 22X12 -44 offset with Goodyear duratrac 33's and a small fender modification (cant tell). Truck looks great and truck is leveled just my driveway is not
