I’ve had 7 lifted trucks. 3 BDS, 2 Superlift, 2 Zone and the BDS and Zone were excellent lifts giving me 0 issues. I’m far from a newbie in the lift or truck world . You run CST year round and the finish will eventually corrode like any other lift will, then you’ll really freak

Zone 4.5” with bilsteins set at 1.25” and I’m running 22x10 forces on 33” nittos

Thanks - Did not modify the upper control arms - didn't need to.  Only thing I did was upgrade to Fox shocks in the rear.  People always get in my truck thinking it will ride rough and always end up amazed that it doesn't.  Its really a factory like ride if not better.  Oh and I've had it on there for approx. 40,000 miles and no "lift caused" repairs of any kind.

Thanks man defiantly made up my mind. There’s a lot of kits out there but I’m going to give zone a try. I will be sharing pictures and reviews of my outcome. Thanks again

I'm also running zone 4.5, bilstein up front and Fox 2.0 in the rear. Exact same setup as jimmyboy8301. I'm running stock wheels though. 

 

Well, my bilstein are at stock height in front, so no extra lift there.

Ihave a 16. With mcg lift. 33 on 22x12 -44 offset (its the wifes, i hate lifted trucks) anyways. I didnt cut anything and the barely clear having a 7" lift in front.  So you may want to rethink that offset and width

Are you trying to say you didn't have to cut your crossmember to install your CST kit? If you are,  your totally wrong. Maybe you better ask your mechanic how he got your lowered  front diff to clear that crossmember without whacking off a chunk of it. CST like all sub frame drop kits require cutting the crossmember.

CST doesn’t cut into the frame at all, just a small cut on a trim pc to clear the steering extension. I didn’t mean to make your choice of lift manufacturers seem as underachievers that not only destroy your frames and give you wide clown tracks but please, give it up, I even lied and complimented your truck and your still going on, wow!

I have a 7” RC lift and have had no issues at all. It was on the truck when I bought it so didn’t have a choice. It’s clear this is a CST sales thread so I’ll move along

 I know OP aont gonna fit a 22x12 -44 on anything under a 6 without cutting.

 

Id choose cst over all those liftsas well. I like cst pruducts. Used a lot of their stuff

He WILL clear that setup with without cutting if he runs adjustable front shocks.

Corey’s truck (on the right) is a CST 4.5” on 33” Toyo AT2s and 22x12 Welds. No cutting, no trimming. Front resi’s turned up slightly.

Stay on topic. No need for personal attacks on each other. Several members are on thin ice. You can IGNORE another member if you wish. In fact if you hover over another poster's name, you'll notice an option to "Ignore User". I would suggest a few of you choose that option since you can't seem to play nice

Just looked up the cst installation instructions. Requires trimming of the lower control arm pocket, and all of the UCA mounting points. 

 

Instructions also include removal of a bracket from the front crossmember, as well as drilling several holes in it. 

 

This all looks very similar to many other types of lifts I looked at when I was making my decision. 

 

Not trying to instigate anything, but I think saying that cst is easily reversible is not quite true. While there is no differential modification, you are certainly modifying enough that simply taking off the lift would be no small task. 

 

OP: there are a great many people running all of these lifts with great success. CST, BDS and Zone all make a great product, but each has pros and cons.

    • This is interesting. My quote tagged here is different from my original quote. After I’m driving them longer. That isn’t me. I don’t talk that way. I definitely wouldn’t express myself that way. Interesting.
    • I have the same running boards on my truck and I do agree they are bulky. I also find myself stepping over them when getting in and out of the truck. Besides providing protection to the rocker panels, they aren't very useful.  I will be replacing them soon with the Amp Powersteps. 
    • Monthly payment is only part of the equation. With today's prices and interest rates, I'd look at the total monthly cost: payment, insurance, registration, fuel, maintenance, and expected repairs. A vehicle that fits comfortably into your budget is usually the better choice than stretching for a higher trim. I've also kept my vehicles longer over the past few years. New cars have gotten expensive enough that driving one for 10+ years, while staying on top of maintenance, often ends up being the most cost-effective approach.
    • 10 Ford and Chevy engines proven to reach 300,000 miles   You may note a common 3K OCI on this list of gas motors. I skipped over the diesels. Dh'O. 
    • Thanks newdude!  By the time manual selection is needed, I'm probably too much of a control-freak to depend on the transmission sensing braking to activate automatic downshifting.  I would be anticipating the situation and already be manually downshifting.   This truck replaced a 2004.5 LLY diesel with the Allison 5-speed.  Putting it in T/H made noticeable differences (when the torque converter locked, upshift points, downshift behavior).  On this 2024 gasser with the 10L1000 I haven't been able to detect much, if any, difference.  Ok, I can never tell now when the torque converter locks up.  But I also don't notice differences in shifting.  For downhills, I've probably already manually downshifted by then anyway.  Since it's also more awkward (than the 2004.5) to engage/disengage I don't even bother.  Or maybe it doesn't really matter with just a 3k lb. camper in the bed?   Thanks also for the list of reasons the charging system might select various voltages.  However, what I am seeing doesn't fall into any of those categories.  It very definitely, and very consistently, rises after coasting/braking.  Maybe not immediately, but not very long after coasting/braking.  Very consistently drops voltage when no longer coasting/braking.  It might also be interacting with the camper battery charging (I might disconnect the camper and see if it changes the charging behavior).  I also need to recheck turning on headlights for when I want to force it to charge the camper.   Another JR, in June I converted the camper to LiFePO4.  Since it's not a good idea to try to charge lithiums directly using truck, I installed a Victron Orion XS DC-DC charger (which BTW is AMAZING!!).  Being cheap, I only had to buy that one item (besides the battery, of course) to do the conversion.  The camper OEM 120v battery charger (only 19 years old and works perfectly) and the truck feed the input to the DC-DC charger (not at the same time).  But I didn't want the camper charger feeding back to the truck so I kept the old separator.  I considered replacing the separator with a 30amp diode but that means more work and might add another 1/2 volt drop.  One thing that surprised me was the voltage drop over the long 10awg wire run, so I can only charge smoothly at 8 amps (because the DC-DC charger is completely configurable).  Another reason I don't want an added voltage drop with the diode.  I might also be a little lazy but all this work is being done under the sink with a small cabinet opening.
