I wish mine had blind spot mirrors/elec monitoring! Does yours? Did I get jipped? Lol

You have to get the safety package to get that. I bought a Trail Boss, had to drive 100 miles to a different city to get one that had that. It doesn't have the full High Country features, but the TB safety package has blind spot mirrors, collision alert, and the cross traffic rear warning.

This is why I'm going to be placing a custom order for mine. So that I get everything that I want without compromise. Now I just need Chevy to offer the tow mirrors from the new HD trucks as an option on the Silverado 1500 with the max tow package so that I can finally have my dealer place my order.

No more power adjustable foot pedals or mirror turn signal indicators either...… :(

These two things I can understand. Personally I could care less about power pedals. It was never needed for me since I'm the only one driving my truck. My last two trucks had adjustable petals... I used them on day 1 and never again. BUT.. for those that have multiple people driving their truck.. MY guess is GM thought is the power pedal are not needed "as much" since the steering wheel is now telescoping.

My guess with the turn signal indicators -  GM thought this can interfere with the blind spot monitor light...which makes since.

We all have our little things that bug us.. for me it's a truck (like mine) with a 57K MSRP that doesn't have an auto dim rear view and side mirrors.  Also think the side mirrors should power fold on trucks with Convenience II package.

I just got a Trailboss. My dealer said I could not add HC features on a custom build. I wanted to add the vented leather seats due to hot So Cal summers but was told could only get on a HC. They recommended getting the HC and then adding the lift from the Trailboss after I purchased.

K2's have a telescoping steering wheel as well. At least the SLT and Denali do.

The current Yukon and Tahoe have both the turn signal indicator and the blind spot alert (both are yellow) in the mirror.  I drove my brother's '18 Yukon SLT and they don't interfere at all. And the mirrors are smaller than the ones on the T1's.

Decontenting is a way of life at GM.

When you are not very tall or average height at best, power adjustable pedals are a blessing.

Moving the pedals toward the body Keeps your torso away from the steering wheel instead of having to slide the seat forward.

Safety over form is why I will always advocate for power adjustable pedals

Very true.

A custom order doesn't mean you can pick and choose option codes and make a truly custom truck. I was originally looking at the RST, but quickly realized that some of the options I could only get by moving to the High Country. I still have more control than just buying something off the lot that the dealer thought would sell and now I have to compromise. I can't find a single dealer that has the1500 with a standard bed in a crew cab. Apparently, they think everyone is fine with the short bed until they move up to a 2500 or greater.

Still, Chevy and GM offer a ton of options you can choose or option out on the 1500 line.

I had 2 different STL K2 trucks ... don't remember a telescoping steering wheel. I could be wrong, but I swore the wheel only moved up and down..

Again, being that I'm the only one that drives my trucks.. I could be wrong. I set it once on the first day and forget it.

GM isn't going to offer tow mirrors for the 1500.  The 2020 HD tow mirrors will not work from what I can tell.  The 2020HD has a different body line and the doors on it are steel so they can support the heavier mirror, at least that is what I'm seeing.

What I don't understand is that it is a law in some states that you have to have 2 mirrors while towing to be able to see 200ft behind the vehicle.  So  how can GM sell a vehicle with a tow package and not include the mirrors?  Also, who wants to put crappy aftermarket mirrors on their brand new vehicle?  GM dropped the ball on this one.

The first person that can adapt the K2 tow mirrors onto the T1's and make them look and function like factory would make a killing.

I'm not sure that a conversion can be done from the window mirror mounting points on the K2 to fit the T1. I'm sure though that once the 2500 and 3500 are released that someone will either modify the mount on those mirrors to work or an aftermarket solution will come forward.

The reason I really want factory tow mirrors on the 1500 is so that the 360 cameras included in the Technology Package will be aligned correctly. If you look at the photos released by GM of the High Country, you can see 2 bumps below the mirror that appear to me to be for cameras, considering that the tow mirrors have their LEDs on the mirror itself. I know it's wishful thinking, but maybe they will start to feel the pressure and adapt the HD mirrors to the 1500 at some point.

I cannot believe a $55K truck doesn’t have lighted/illuminated sun visor mirrors.

Do the new ones also not have locking gas tank doors like the previous edition?
