GMC Leaf spring question

Probably a dumb question, but ...

 

I have a 2006 GMC Sierra 2500.

 

I noticed the rear left and right leaf springs are different. I think I'm missing a disk of some sort on the left side. The first picture shows the right-hand spring with the disk ("front" is just the direction of the front of the truck). The second one shows the same place on the left-hand spring, with no disk.

 

So am I missing something, and is it important?

Those are just anti noise pucks... Ment to stop spring slap / squeak noises.
