Y'all have to properly maintain your vehicles.  You cannot expect to run them through a car wash every month and the paint to last 25 years.  You folks in the south with dark colors need to pay even more attention.

By the time you beat down GM with your class action lawsuit.  All of the lawyers will put their kids through college, take a European vacation and put a pool in their backyards and you'll get a check for $6.45.

Although I do agree with the second part of your post, the first part is way off.  I have never used a car wash, my truck was garaged, and this happened to me the third year of ownership.  Definitely a defect in paint, application, and/or lack of quality control.

We purchased a 2017 Tahoe and recently noticed that the paint on the hood and the roof is fading.  We took it to a Colorize body shop and they explained that it was the clear coat that was cracking. I then took it to the dealership where we bought it and they confirmed that it was due to the clear coat being cracked.    Unfortunately our warranty expired at 3 years and or 360000 miles.  We are at 54000 miles.  We also have a problem with paint on  the luggage rack brackets fading and coming off.  This happened about a year ago, but the hood and roof became noticeable around February of 2022.  I'm very disappointed that we should be having these problems especially since  it is the most expensive car we have ever bought and that we will have to pay nearly $2000 plus to get everything repaired. It should be considered a recall problem.  Much to my surprise, the Chevrolet estimate was lower than Colorize one.  I definitely be  contacting  the complaint department of Chevrolet.
