6.2L Yes or No

The 4 cylinder turbo is a powerful motor and you can hear the turbo which is fun!  Love my 6.2 though.  Tons of power.

My 2018 SLT Z71 6.2 gets a bit over 23 mpg doing 65 on the highway and it’s lifted with 33” KO2’s. There have been a great deal of people that have complained of their bad mpg’s with their 5.3 but you’ll hear nothing but great comments on the 6.2’s HP/Torque (more smiles per mile) and very impressive mpg’s which many times surpassed the 5.3’s.

Well folks it's time to make my move, and so is the 6.2L worth the extra 2500.00$....I'm ordering a LTZ and have to stop debating.....2500 extra and premium gas.....mmmmmm

Thanks for reading.....                   GH
100% worth it.

I got the 6.2 in my 2020. It's mind blowing. You can get decent fuel mileage if driven properly.

But...........

Part of me wishes I had gotten the 3.0 diesel. Reasons being I'm not anything close to an aggressive driver, I'm more of a grinder and the low end power of the diesel probably would have suited my driving style better. In my estimation the difference between the extra cost of diesel fuel vs. the better mileage balance each other out, maybe there's something I don't see though. The reasons for not getting the diesel were a lower towing rating which when I think about it now I probably never will tow over 9000 lbs. and the fact it is a new unproven engine.

The 6.2 is awesome, But

Just throwing this out there

Are you tuned? I have a 2020 AT$ with the 6.2 and 35x11.50 and getting 16.5 at 75-77mph. On the toll road doing 85-90 (gotta love Texas speed limits) it drops like crazy but that's to be expected
