Duratrac tire question

I bought duratracs for my truck before winter and I'm up to 4900 miles on them. Anyone have good experience with rotation on them? How often and criss-cross or just front to back? Thanks

Rear tires cross and go to the front. Fronts go straight back. I'd rotate anywhere between 7000 to 10000 kms.

That would be a front wheel drive rotation.

Rear wheel drive rotation is fronts cross at the rears, rears go straight to the front.

5-6k for a rotation.  Usually the more aggressive the tire, the sooner to keep the chopping/feathering to a minimum.

Take the fronts to the rear and cross them (right front becomes left rear, left front becomes right rear).  Take the rears and move them straight forward (left rear becomes left front, right rear becomes right front).

Your truck's owners manual has a good rotation visual reference.

Thanks! I did see the rotation in the manual but didn't know of duratracs would be different with being aggressive. I'll be sure to rotate before 6k miles as I want these to last!

Whoops, your correct. Also that is what I meant. I've never had a tire wear bad using that method. Also during each rotation check your front end for any ball joints, wheel bearings etc. I also usually have my alignment checked every year or after a part change.

I've used Duratracs for the last 2 winters and quite like them, especially in the snow. Also, they do wear like iron. They're a bit noisy and get a bit worse fuel mileage. I take mine off in the spring and put the stock tires and rims back on for the summer. Duratracs are my goto winter tire now.
I rotate every 10,000 km but don't do it the way the manual says. I rotate clockwise 1 corner each time I do a rotation (RF>RR>LR>LF>RF). Some folks may disagree, but this works for me & I've gotten exceptionally good life out of my tires, on all my vehicles over the past 30 years. ( For example - I once got almost 110,000 miles, yes miles, out of a set of 14" michelins on a VW Jetta)

I’ve rotated mine with every oil change and they’re wearing very evenly.  I’ve got about 20k miles on them, they’re holding up nicely.  The noise has gotten significantly louder, however.

I have the dealership rotate them, not sure of their method, but I’d hope it’s as the manual shows for procedure.

I have over 40,000 miles on my stock 22" rim size Duratracs and rotate every 5,000 and they still look new. Discount tires does it for free so I take advantage.

Just had a set put on my work truck, which is an '04 Chevy 1500. I like them so far off road but I found they wander a bit on the highway. Does anyone else notice that?

Have you check  your alignment ??  I'm on my second set , rotate at every oil change , check  alignment spring & fall . NO problems and were at 81,000 mileage .  YES i buy again
