Best blower for drying?

Recommended Posts

So I’ve been using a Toro leaf blower to dry my truck after a 2 bucket wash.  But it’s too heavy and has a cord! :sigh:

Any recommendations for something light and battery powered?

The lighter it is, the less power it's gonna have. Why not gas powered? I have a Husqvarna 570bts back pack blower. It REALLY BLOWS.

gas powered will be heavier than electric.
When it's on your back, you don't notice the weight, even though it's a 65cc professional blower, weighs 20 something pounds.

I like having the weight on my back; much easier to handle.  but the $450 price tag is rough. :(

That's actually a pretty good price on it, they are normally $499. Yeah I wouldn't buy one either just to dry a truck. I bought mine to blow leaves. There are some cheaper smaller back pack blowers. Husqvarna and redmax are the best in my opinion. Mine will push you off balance at full throttle if you aren't used to it.

I have a Ryobi 18v blower and it wouldn’t work for drying a vehicle.  Battery operated are good for cleaning up grass on the sidewalk after mowing, they don’t come close to a gas blower.  I love mine for what it’s good at, but it wouldn’t dry a truck.  Maybe if you get one of the 40v blowers, but you’d want to see it in action before you spend that kind of money.  $500 on a gas blower back pack is a better value than $200 on something that won’t do what you want to do.

I have this one and plenty of batteries.  I wouldn’t waste my time trying to do a truck with it.

I have a metro vac the small version and also bought the default 20V blower since I have 4 batteries. It works great
