My repurchase was solely based on the differential and drive shaft noise while in 2WD /Jingle.

Truck is ready to be picked up. I will look to see the numbers on my axle and take a picture. Shocked they called me late today and not late tomorrow. Gm also called me yesterday wanting to talk about

So the Truck is back and so far no noise at all. Let's hope it stays that way. Will post updates .

Ok thank you. Stub shaft,singer,seal have been ordered since October for my truck and stub shaft  has not come in. My GM advisor has not contacted me since October.Gm advisor did tell me in October they did not have a fix for this. I guess my next step is a attorney. I have a log and all recepts of this whole mess. Truck will be a year old in June. Thanks again.

I would go and check out your states lemon law first before getting a lawyer. FYI one of the GM reps “John” assigned to my case was fired from GM around that time frame and I lost communication for awhile also. You may have been dealing with this same guy. Google the BBB auto line and get the case opened with them first. This will cost you nothing and it did work for me. Please feel free to message me here if you need help.

I didn’t win my case yet. I hired a lawyer and they contacted gm several times. Gm never responded so now we are taking them to court. My truck has more issues than just the differential. Check your state laws like others have mentioned.

Not entirely true.  My 2020 has 2260 miles on it.  Built in 8/19.  Picked it up in the beginning of December.  I don't drive it that much, which is to say a few miles a day maybe to the gym and back, no really long trips.  Last week, I was driving around all morning and started hearing a thunking sound.  So while I had the radio off listening to that, I heard the dreaded jingle.  Jumped on here and they symptoms are exactly the same.  Starts around 15-20 miles, only in 2wd, goes away in 4x4.  It does have the SU4 axle.  Anyway, took it in and first they didn't hear it.  Went back the next day while it was warm and took the tech for a ride.  He heard it.  It goes back in Tuesday.  As far as the thunking noise, it sounded like the front but closer inspection showed it was coming from the rear leaf springs.  They said installed "Rear Leaf Spring Insert Replacement and Re-torque u-blots as per bulletin"

Me.  2020 build date 8/19.  Same symptoms.  Same SU4 axle.  Goes back in Tuesday next week.

I have the clunk just had it in to the dealer and of course they said they couldn't reproduce it. Please keep me posted.

Initially I thought it was from the front.  So did the tech.  Closer inspection and he was able to find it in the back.

I have 2020 LTZ with 6.2 engine that has this front diff. Jingle. Truck has 2500 mi. Started showing up as outside temp got warmer. Goes away in auto mode or 4WD

Yes that's the sound and about the right mileage too. I have 3900 miles on my new truck and so far I have yet to hear anything.

Dealership told me they were going to replace axle on that side. They are going to let me know when parts come in. Is this a fix or just fishing? I have not read all 54 pages related to this issue, just trying to find out what has worked for other people. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks

Unfortunately fishing mostly.  But you have to play the game at first and who knows it might work.

      I agree, simplicity and reliability matter more as vehicles get more complicated. A V8 work truck option with fewer electronic features and a stronger warranty would definitely appeal to a lot of buyers who use their trucks for real work. Customizing it with trusted outfitters is often the best way to get exactly what you need.webcrimsNY

      I’ve heard similar complaints from newer vehicles where the factory “premium” systems don’t always live up to expectations. A good installer should be able to improve the sound without turning it into a bass-heavy setup. I’d look into upgrading the front speakers, adding a quality DSP amplifier, and possibly improving sound deadening first—those changes usually make a much bigger difference than just adding a subwoofer. Hopefully someone local can recommend a reputable installer in the Las Vegas/St. George area.

      Do you remember that Harley Davidson was more successful (solvent) when it produced about 60% of the market demand (by design) and forced wait times of up to three years? Even when your turn came around it was, "Take what we are giving you or move to the back of the line and start over". HUGE markup's were 'normalized' and dealer killed. 40% markup and no floor plan? What's not to love? Greed will kill them yet. They have surplus production and customer base is tanking. And still they think nosebleed pricing will work.

      The engine was done as part of the 6.2 recall?   You'd have to see if your VIN also has the 6.2 engine special coverage on it.  Coverage number is N252494003.  If you have this, your engine is covered under this and NOT the GM replacement part engine warranty which is 3yr/100k from the date of install.  The 3yr/100k mi warranty is in effect for non warranty purchases.     This is not any different if it was replaced under warranty without a recall or special coverage.  So if you had a 5.3 and it popped at 3 years in at 50,000mi during the 5yr/60k powertrain, the replacement engine would not get the 3yr/100k, and instead gets the remainder of the 5yr/60k as coverage.     So N252494003 gives 10 years or 150,000mi of coverage, which ever comes first, starting at the vehicle in service date.  So if your in service date is 01/01/2022, N252494003 gives you special coverage of the engine until 01/01/2032 or 150,000mi, whichever comes first.  So if your start date was 01/01/2022, you'd have left 5 years and 4 months (lets round to august 1st), or 62,000mi left of coverage.   So you need to know your in service date to know how much coverage is left.

      Okiee dokie there bud, way to take things to the extreme.   I guess you missed the whole point and take things way to serious. I installed different EV6 style injectors that just so happen to be larger in my car running the same LQ4 engine and with a better spray pattern than the stock style injectors and I noticed no difference in the idle quality. Kinda was my round about way of saying that even if you put the same size but better style injectors in your truck, you will likely see the same thing.    I'm sure you're great to have conversations with in person if that's how you act through a keyboard. One little things sets you off and now I guess my dick is all up in your face.
