Boy you are fortunate in a bad situation not to get soaked. Hope insurance is taking care of you.

I have an high deductible to keep costs down. Southern states tend to have higher premiums because of tropical weather. Higher deductibles hedge against that. Plus we know a good contractor. Cutting and pulling the limb. Patching then repairing the roof along with the bedroom ceiling was 2800$. Once dry the ceiling blended 1

diyer2 Posted September 14, 2025 Author Posted September 14, 2025 Trees continue to change color, 38 this morning. Little rain yesterday, high of 55.
diyer2 Posted September 18, 2025 Author Posted September 18, 2025 (edited) Quite a day yesterday. 3 storms in the afternoon, evening, all with small hail. The 7 p.m. storm left an inch or more of small hail like it had snowed. Still on the ground now. It dropped the temperature to 33 degrees, 33 here now. We had a high of 50 yesterday. Trees are changing more rapidly. Mountain weather is different than lower elevations. Edited September 18, 2025 by diyer2

Grumpy Bear Posted November 5, 2025 Posted November 5, 2025 November 3rd is the latest I've ever mowed grass and my lawn looked the best it has looked in over twenty years. Grass loves cool wet weather and while our rain has been on the light side the low to high temperature swing has been in the sweet spot. it was so hot and dry this summer on whole the grass and everyone's tomatoes did poorly. Disconnected hoses and drained hydrants same day. We are projected to enter sub freezing in the next week or so. Still have blooms on the herb garden. Fall here has been stunning for a place with few natural maples. Full rainbow of leaf colors this year.
Homer1959 Posted November 5, 2025 Posted November 5, 2025 Mowed the grass and pick up the leafs, eavestrough cleaned and travel trailer winterized yesterday cant wait for our annual trip to Mc Allen Texas for 4 to 5 months . Winter is at our door here in Lachute Quebec Canada, freezing temps at night, snow in the forecast for the weekend ... A good test for the new truck 1
